Background
The Indian Contingent at the Paris Paralympics 2024 will aim to get off the mark in the medals tally of the on Friday (August 30). Strong medal contenders from India's strongest-ever contingent in the Paralympic games will feature in para-athletics and shooting. While it will be Karam Jyoti and Sakshi Kasana who will be competing in the women's discus throw F55 final which can help India get their first medal in these Games, Preethi Pal will be competing for a medal in the women's 100m T35 final.
As far as shooting is concerned, India's Avani Lekhara will be in action. She is a defending Paralympic champion of the Women's 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 event.
