Background

Match 44 of the Indian Premier League 2021 is here. The IPL has entered the "business end" as the commentators call it. With Chennai and Delhi almost securing the top two places on the points table, 3-4 teams fight for the remaining two playoff spots. 

SRH made some sweeping changes in the last match against Rajasthan Royals. They dropped their captain, David Warner, and made space to accommodate the Englishman, Jason Roy. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has thus far only won two out of the 10 matches they have played. Their chances of qualifying for the playoffs is very low but still, they would like to give their best and defeat some good sides. 

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has is on top of the table with eight wins, which are usually enough for playoff qualification. MSD's men would be looking to improve their NRR. 

The pitch for today's match looks like a belter. "A typical Sharjah pitch", says Matthew Hayden while doing the pitch report. It is going to be difficult for the bowlers.
