RR vs GT HIGHLIGHTS: Gujarat Pull Off A Heist Against Rajasthan
RR vs GT HIGHLIGHTS: In a match that seemed to be going Rajasthan's way, Gujarat came back from nowhere to pull off a win.
Gujarat win. Rashid gets that ball away for a boundary and GT win by 3 wickets. What a match. They were down and out but have found a way to come out on top and win the match.
Tewatia gets run out at the non-strikers' end, trying to come back for a third. 2 needed off 1 ball now for GT with Rashid on strike.
And a single. 4 runs, 2 balls now. And Tewatia on strike for this ball.
Four more behind the wicket this time. Now 5 needed off 3.
Two off the second ball. Now needed 9 off 4.
Rashid Khan gets a full toss and sends it for a FOUR first ball with 15 needed off 6. Avesh Khan is bowling the last over. Equation now 11 off 5 balls.
And a four to end the 19th over from Tewatia. One that goes for 20 runs. GT- 182/6. Need 15 from 6 balls.
Some late drama. Kuldeep Sep to bowl the penultimate over. He does give away a no-ball which goes for FOUR which has kept RR alive in the match.
Concedes 7 runs and takes a wicket off the 18th over. GT- 162/6 after 18 overs. GT need 35 runs from 12 balls.
Shahrukh goes. Surely with that the hopes of GT. Avesh Khan traps Shahrukh LBW to get GT six down. GT- 157/6 after 17.3 Overs.

Shahrukh Khan impact sub comes out to bat for GT. Chahal finishes well. 14 runs, 1 wicket off the over. GT- 138/5.
Big wicket for the Rajasthan Royals. It is Chahal who has the last laught. He might have been hit for a couple of boundaries but he gets the big fish. Gill outfoxed by Chahal. It's a wide ball that gets him out stumped for 72 off 44. Massive moment in this game. GT- 133/5 after 15.2 Overs. TIME OUT!
Ashwin concedes 13 runs from his third over. Couple of boundaries off his over. GT- 124/4 after 15 overs. They need 73 runs from 30 balls.
Vijay Shankar departs. It is Chahal who gets rid of him. It's the quicker one from the leg-spinner that Shankar looks to hoick against but perishes. GT- 111/4 after 14 overs. Need 86 from 36 balls.
Sen gets a third over on the trot and he goes for runs this time. Concedes 11. Shankar going over mid-off to find the much-needed boundary. GT- 102/3 after 13 overs.
Vijay Shankar and Shubman Gill out in the middle.
Maharaj returns, bowls an 8-run over. GT- 91/3 after 12 overs.
It's the second wicket of the over. Kuldeep Sen is on fire. He gets two wickets in the same over, getting rid of Abhinav Manohar (1 off 2) after the Wade dismissal. GT-79/3 after 10.4 Overs.
Play resumes immediately. And there is a wicket first ball. Sen gets rid of Matthew Made. Castles his stumps. GT- 77/2 after 10.1 Overs.
And rain returns. Just a wide after the 10-over mark before rain became steadier and players go off an covers come on. MATCH HAS BEEN STOPPED!
10 overs bowled. GT- 76/1. Four to end the Chahal over. They need 121 from 60 balls.
Wade In At 3 for GT. They Need 130 runs from 66 balls after 4 runs come off the 9th over. GT- 67/1.
And Sai Sudharshan departs. It was plumb, as it turned out but the on-field decision was not out. RR opted for a review and had their man with the southpaw departing for 35 off 29. Kuldeep Sen strikes off his first over. GT- 64/1 after 8.2 Overs.
Back-to-back boundaries off Chahal. It's Sai Sudharsan who gets those boundaries. 12 runs coming off the over and a catch that came straight back at the bowler that went down. GT- 63/0 after 8 overs.
Ashwin with a 7-run over. 50 up for GT too who are 51/0 after 7 overs.
Avesh's second over goes for 14. GT- 44/0. Now then, this game is getting interesting. A SIX and a FOUR off the bat of Gill in that over to end powerplay. Sai Sudharsan- 21* off 20, Shubman Gill- 23* off 16.
Ravichandran Ashwin into the attack. 4 runs off his first over. GT- 30/0 after 5 overs.
Gill dances down the track and sends the ball over the ropes. 8 off the over. After 4 overs, GT- 26/0.
Impact Sub Into Play. Keshav Maharaj gets to ball inside the powerplay.
Super stuff from the Kiwi. Concedes 3 runs off his second. GT- 18/0 after 3 overs.
It's Avesh Khan who is sharing the new ball but Sai Sudharsan has got width on offer and the Gujarat opene has slashed that away for a massive six over third man. 10 runs coming off the over. GT- 15/0 after 2 overs.
Sai Sudharsan gets the boundary off the first over. Otherwise a tidy one from Boult. GT- 5/0 after the 1st over.
It's Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill who open for GT. Trent Boult has the new ball for RR.
Time for a bit a break! GT did have luck going their way for sure but not to forget the misfield and the dropped catches which was in their hand. Take nothing away from Parag (76) and Samson (68) though who ensured that their team becomes the first one this season to not lose a single wicket through the middle overs. This will take some chasing from GT.
RR post 196/3 in 20 overs. Early wickets but the remarkable partnership between Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag for the third wicket worth 130 helping them post 196. Rashid Khan (1/18) the pick of the bowlers for GT who need 197 to win.
2, Wide, Wide. Umesh can't find a way to end the over so far.
Wow. What a start to the final. A six each from Hetmyer and Samson. A single in between. 13 off the first 3 overs.
Umesh to finish for GT.
15 runs off the 19th over despite that wicket. A six from Parag,a four from Hetmter, the new man in, coming in that over.
Finally a wicket for GT. 130-run stand between Parag and Samson comes to an end as Vijay Shankar takes a good catch at long-off to see the back of Parag. He takes the catch, realises the momentum might take him past the boundary ropes so he lets go of the ball before coming inside and completing the catch. RR- 172/3 after 18.4 Overs. Parag falls for 76 off 48.
Mohit Sharma bowling the 19th over. How many more can RR add? Let's find out with two set batters out in the middle.
Good over from Johnson, given the stage of the game. 8 runs including a boundary off it. RR-162/2 after 18 overs.
Nothing going GT's way. Neither that decision, nor those chances as a chance goes down with the fielder stumbling at long on. Whatsmore the ball has gone for FOUR. Fifty for Samson. 52* off 31. RR-154/2 after 17 overs.
Confusion over wide call. It's given a wide by the on-field umpire. Shubman Gill reviews the decision and the third umpire can be heard saying that the batter has moved outside the normal batting stance, so the wide line also moves but ends up calling it a wide
Partnership worth over 100 between the two. RR have set the foundation for a strong finish. They are nearing 150 in the 17th over.
Misfield From Umesh. It goes for FOUR! Umesh just couldn't keep the ball in play and what should have been a single, gives FOUR to Parag. Mohit Sharma the bowler.
5 singles off his last over as Rashid bowls out. RR- 134/2 after 15 Overs.
Much needed for GT who need to break this partnership and find a way to pull it back a bit. Samson- 44* off 25, Riyan Parag- 56* off 36.
Samson On The Charge in this over. Two boundaries and a SIX in this over- all off the bat of Samson. Some exquisite stroke making none more beautiful perhaps than how he scored that second boundary towards the extra-cover region before ending the over with a SIX on a short-pitch ball. RR- 134/2 after 15 overs
Johnson Returns for a third over.
Parag gets to another fifty. He has been lucky alright but he is making it count. For years, there were those who doubted Parag's ability but he is repaying the faith shown on him by the franchise. Gets to the landmark with a SIX off Mohit. His third fifty of the season. Sharma had earlier conceded a boundary with Samson playing an inside out stroke. RR fetch 14 runs from the 14th over. They are 118/2 after 14 overs. Riyan Parag- 55* off 35. Sanju Samson- 29* off 20.
Wrong line. It's on to the pads again and this time it has been deposited into the square leg region for a maximum. Second six of the over. Ultimately 15 runs come off the over. RR- 104/2after 13 overs. Noor Ahmad bowls out. Started off well but finishes with 0/43 off his four overs.
Parag smashes another six. In the slot on leg stump from Noor and Parag sends it past over midwicket for a maximum.
Mohit Sharma into the attack. Concedes 7 off his first. RR- 89/2 after 12 overs.
17 runs coming off the last 2 overs then. The third over each from Rashid and Noor with RR batters finding a boundary each in the two overs. Both from the bat of Parag.
Bit of sloppiness. First Parag smashes a SIX to break the shackles before a misfield from Mohit Sharma backing up on a throw at the bowler's end goes for four. 13-run over then from Noor. RR- 65/2 after 9 overs.
Superb passage of play this for GT. 9 runs off the last 2. First a 6-run over from Noor before a 3-run one from Rashid. RR- 52/2 after 8 overs. Riyan Parag- 7* off 12, Sanju Samson- 12* off 7.
Spin at both ends. The Afghanistani duo as Noor Ahmad has the ball in hand from the other end.
Eventually only 2 runs off the over and a wicket. Could have been another wicket too but a nick off Riyan Parag is dropped by Matthew Wade.
Rashid is introduced into the attack and makes an impact in his very first over. He gets rid of Jos Buttler. Rashid produces the edge from Buttler and it's caught in the slip cordon. RR- 48/2 after 5.4 Overs. RR- 42/2 after 5.4 Overs.
Back-to-back boundaries. Samson, the new man in, gets into business straight away. First a short and wide ball that is cut away for four before he allows one to get to him on middle and off before timing it towards the mid-wicket region for a boundary. 13 runs off the over with the help of those boundaries. RR- 41/1 after 5 overs.
Umesh Yadav gets a wicket. He banged the first one short which was punished by Jaiswal for a boundary before the left-hander tried to go for a scopp the very next ball but only managed to glove it behind the stumps where Matthew Wade completes a fine catch. RR-32/1 after 4.2 Overs,
Good over from Johnson. Concedes 6, without a boundary off it. RR- 28/0 after 4 overs.
It's Jaiswal again. He migght have failed to score off a bit of a freebie on the legs with fine leg inside the circle but Jaiswal ends over number 3 with back-to-back boundaries. Both through the off side. The cover-point region has been the one where he has done bulk of the scoring. RR- 22/0 after 3 overs.
Umesh Yadav continues.
It's Spencer Johnson from the other end. A well-placed boundary through the covers off Umesh in the first over and then one past backward point to end the second over which was bowled by Johnson. Both off the bat of Yashasvi Jaiswal. RR- 13/0 after 2 overs.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler the openers for RR. Umesh Yadav has the ball in hand for GT. First over of the match coming up.

Background
RR vs GT LIVE SCORE: Hello and Welcome to ABP Live's Live Coverage of the IPL 2024 fixture being played between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. While RR are one team that are undefeated in IPL 2024 season so far and have won each of the four matches yet, GT find themselves at the bottom half of the points table, having lost more matches than they have won.
That sets things up for an exciting contest in Jaipur. While the Sanju Samson-led side would not want to compromise on their winning momentum, a young captain in Shubman Gill would be aware that it is high time that his side gets the winning momentum and what better than to start winning against a side that is currently sitting at the top of the points tally which shall also give them the confidence needed to continue winning for the rest of the season.
As far as the head-to-head record is concerned, it is all stacked up in favour of GT. The two teams have locked horns in as many as five games and RR has only managed a solitary win in them. The remaining four matches have all gone GT's way including the IPL 2022 final. However, this is a new season and GT have a new leader at the helm of affairs. Will GT continue their superiror record over RR or will the inaugual champions remain undefeated this season? Let's find out over the course of this evening.
