RCB vs DC HIGHLIGHTS: Bangalore Beat Delhi By 23 Runs
IPL 2023, Match 20, RCB vs DC: Delhi lost early wickets and it never looked like that they would come close to Bangalore's score of 174/6.
Second win in four games for Bangalore this and one which will give them the confidence forward. Kohli's fifty and debutant Vijaykumar Vyshak the big positives for them from this match. Delhi too have some positives most significantly the bowling of Kuldeep Yadav.
DC LOSE! In the end RCB win by 23 runs but the fact remains Delhi were never in the match and they ended up coming a lot closer only because DC's tail wagged. 5th loss in a row for DC and this would surely be very difficult to overcome.
Axar Patel also Departs. Second wicket for IPL debutant. Getting worse for DC- 80/6 in 12.2 Overs.
Another one goes down and it's looking very bad for DC who would have thought they are in with a real chance after restricting RCB to 174/6. Porel goes for 5 off 8, falls to Harshal Patel. DC- 53/5 in 8.5 overs.
Abishek Porel and Manish Pandey the Delhi batters out in the middle. Required run rate- 10.33 at the end of the 8-over mark with DC's score reading- 51/4.
Warner was the fourth man to get out inside the powerplay. He fell to a miscued pull shot off the bowling off Vijaykumar Vyshak on IPL debut. DC- 30/4 in 5.4 overs.
WICKET AGAIN!!!! Bangalore bowlers breathing fire at the moment. Dhull gets out in the third over now. Siraj gets him out LBW. DC- 2/3 in chase of 175.
WICKET! DC Lose two in two overs. HORROR START for the Capitals. Leading edge and it's gone straight where Kohli was stationed. He doesn't drop those. DC- 1/2. Bangalore right on top.
WICKET!!! Shaw is RUN OUT FIRST OVER, great fielding from Anuj Rawat and Shaw goes for back for 0. DC- 1/1.
END OF INNINGS. That's that then. An innings of what could have been this for Bangalore. They looked set to post a massive total before a Delhi team hat-trick derailed their innings. They finish at 174/6.
Into the last over then. Shahbaz Ahmed pretty much the only warrior RCB in the death overs. Anuj Rawat scoring at less than run a ball at this point.
RCB- 154/6 after 18 overs. 2 to go then. Still over 180 on the cards. Can these two aid Bangalore to that mark or will DC bowlers do better? Let's find out.
Anuj Rawat (Impact Player Sub replacing Lomror) and Shahbaz Ahmed, both on 0 out in the middle for RCB.
Bangalore lose 3 wickets in 3 balls. Harshal Patel, Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik depart in 13.6, 14.1 and 14.2 balls with Kuldeep scalping taking the wickets in the first two balls of the 15th over. Axar Patel got the first of those three back-to-back wickets. RCB-134/6 after 15 overs.
WICKET! Lomror departs. But the good thing is Bangalore haven't let the run rate dip down. Lomror gets out on a successful DRS by DC. He had just hit a six a balle before. RCB- 117/3 in 12.3 Overs.
Glenn Maxwell replaces Kohli in the middle and he has started with 2 sixes in the first over he has faced. RCB- 103/2 after 11 overs.
WICKET! Kohli departs after his 50 and it is Lalit Yadav who gets his wicket. Bangalore looking to up the ante here and Kohli perishes in an attempt to do just that. But he will be disappointed as he failed to time that full toss to perfection. RCB- 89/2 in 10.1 overs.
Half-century for King Kohli! He is back in form for sure and how. Would look to make a big one now with half the innings remaining. END OF 10 overs- RCB- 89/1, Lomror ending that over with a six as if the acceleration has begun. Lomror 15* (11), Kohli 50* (33).
Going at 7.77 runs an over this Bangalore innings so far. At the end of the 9 over mark, RCB- 70/1. Kohli- 38* (29), Lomror 8* (9).
END OF POWERPLAY! RCB- 47/1. Virat Kohli- 21*, Mahipal Lomror 3*
Mitchell Marsh took the wicket of du Plessis and a brilliant catch by Aman Hakim Khan does the rest. du Plessis was looking to hit it towards the mid-wicket region but then he miscued it.
Faf du Plessis walked down the pitch and hit it straight against Mustafizur for a boundary. It was Virat Kohli in the first over who started it with two fours and now its the skipper.
Kohli and du Plessis have started the proceedings for RCB. Nortje bowled the first over and gave away two boundaries.

It's difficult to defend in death overs. We have been good at our home ground as a batting unit. You got to pick your best batters and bowlers.
David Warner: We are going to bowl first. The ground looks incredible, credit to the staff here. It's about getting one win, the momentum follows from there. We don't want to lose wickets in the powerplay. We have change. Marsh comes in for Powell.
