WIN!!! CHENNAI ARE IN THE FINALS!!!!! They beat GT BY 15 runs.
Rashid is out in the penultimate over and it's Chahar who has got rid of him. Surely that's the game then for CSK.
Titans need 36 runs in 14 balls.
Rashid Khan has ignited some hopes with a few bits but back to back wickets in the 18th over means CSK are still way ahead in the match. First Vijay Shankar departed after which there was a run-out next ball. GT- 136/8 in 17.4 overs.
WICKET! Is that the game then for CSK as Gill is caught in the deep for 42 off 38. Chahar gets Gill out on a short ball. GT- 88/5 in 13.1 overs.
BIG BLOW TO GT! David Miller departs. He has been bowled by Jadeja who gets his second of the night. GT- 88/4 in 12.5 overs.
Shanka departs. Jadeja created a bit of a pressure having bowled two dot balls after which the Sri Lankan star looked for a reverse sweep but didn't get the desired connection. GT- 72/3 in 10.3 overs.
Gill and Shanaka out in the middle for GT.
WICKET! Another one goes down. Theekshana is handed the ball inside the powerplay and he delivers, getting rid of Hardik Pandya. GT- 41/2 in 5.5 overs.
Hardik Pandya joins Gill in the middle. Meanwhile, it has been Deshpande and Chahar who have shared the new ball so far for CSK. GT- 32/1 after 4 overs.
It was Saha and Gill who had started off the proceedings with the bat for GT but CSK have an early wicket as Deepak Chahar gets Saha caught in the deep. GT- 22/1 after 3 overs.
Gaikwad (60 off 44), Conway (40 off 34) but it was the cameos from Rahane (17 off 10), Rayudu (17 off 9) and Jadeja (22 off 16) that took them past 170 in the end. Mohammed Shami (2/28) and Mohit Sharma (2/31) the best bowlers on the day for GT.
END OF INNINGS. A few good cameos towards the end and CSK end their innings at 172/7.
Ambati Rayudu and Ravindra Jadeja out in the middle for CSK at the moment.
WICKET! Another one goes down. Conway's struggle comes to end, he is caught at midwicket. Mohammed Shami gets the wicket. CSK- 125/4 in 15.1 overs.
Rahane, who had walked in at 4, goes back after 17 off 10. He had just given some impetus into the innings. Nalkande gets his man. CSK- 121/3 in 14.5 overs.
CSK- 90/2 in 11.3 Overs.
Chennai lose two wickets in quick succession. Gaikwad fell in the 11th over followed by the wicket of Shivam Dube in the 12th over. Both batters trying to go for the big shot but failing. Mohit Sharma picked the first wicket before Noor Ahmad dismissed Dube.
After 9 overs, CSK- 76/0. Ruturaj Gaikwad- 56* off 39, Devon Conway- 18 off 16.
Since that chance, Gaikwad has gotten better and better. He has reached his half-century and is looking good for a big one here. Conway has played second fiddle in this partnership so far.
What should have been a wicket over, turned out to be a 14-run over. CSK- 18/0 after 2 overs.
Nalkande had got the wicket of Gaikwad there but it turned out to be a no-ball. The CSK opener has responded with a six over long on from the free-hit ball.
Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad open for CSK. Mohammed Shami and Darshan Nalkande sharing the new ball for GT.

Background
GT vs CSK Score Live: After a total of 70 league matches, the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) now heads to its business with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) set to take on the Gujarat Titans (GT) in Qualifier 1 of the competition on Tuesday (May 23) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
While GT finished first at the points table after the league stage and has undoubtedly been the most consistent team of the entire tournament so far, not only becoming the first side to assure itself of a top-two finish but never letting their feet off the pedal. On the other hand, CSK finished second and have been the most consistent team in the history of the tournament since its inception in 2008.
These are the same two teams that had started off the tournament at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. On that occasion, it had been a comfortable win for GT but this time around the match will be payed in Chennai's home and the situation will be different as a place in the final will be at stake and the team that handles the pressure well will go on to win this game and wait for the other finalist.
CSK have never beaten GT which makes things interesting for this fixture but then there is something about the leadership of MS Dhoni which has helped him achieve remarkable success over the years especially in white-ball cricket which will be under spotlight once again on Tuesday.
On the other hand, GT too have Hardik Pandya at the helm of affairs who has already led his side to a title last year and is on the verge of a special achivement, that of winning back-to-back titles. Will it be GT then who will continue their dominant run over CSK or will the Men In Yellow storm break GT jinx and feature in yet another finale?
We shall find out pretty soon. STAY TUNED!
