Mumbai Indians will be locking horns against Delhi Capitals in the final of the inaugural Women's Premier League (WPL) at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. Both Mumbai and Delhi have had a terrific season as Delhi is at the top of the points table with six wins. While Mumbai is standing at second with six wins. Mumbai are coming to the finals after defeating third-placed UP Warriorz by 72 runs in the eliminator.
A WPL win will be the cherry on the cake for Harmanpreet Kaur as it will begin a new era in women's cricket history. She has scored 244 runs in eight innings at a wholesome average of over 40, including three half-centuries.
Delhi Capitals on the other side have Meg Lanning who scored 310 runs in eight games alongside Shafli Varma who made 241 runs in eight matches. Both players have helped Delhi win many matches in the ongoing WPL. Both teams will be looking to seal the inaugural WPL Trophy on Sunday.
