IND vs AUS WTC Final Day 2 Highlights

Australia on top, India reeling in WTC Final after first two days! By the end of Day 2's play, India scored 151 runs in their first innings after losing five wickets. To save the follow-on, India needs to score 118 more runs. At present, Ajinkya Rahane is unbeaten on 29 runs while Shrikar Bharat is unbeaten on five runs. India's top order failed completely. Captain Rohit Sharma got out after scoring 15 runs, while Shubman Gill (13), Cheteshwar Pujara (14), Virat Kohli (14) suffered cheap dismissals. India lost four wickets till 71 runs. After this, Ravindra Jadeja and Rahane shared a 71-run partnership for fifth wicket to help India recover.

Stay tuned for all the latest updates of the game. The WTC Final 2023 between India and Australia kickstarted as the Kangaroos posted 327/3 on the board at the stumps. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and asked Australians to bat first at the Kennington Oval stadium in London. Initially, Indian bowlers were bowling well but then Steve Smith and Travis Head had other plans, stitching a 251-run stand for the fourth wicket.


The Indian team did not include Ravichandran Ashwin in the playing XI instead opted for Jadeja. They are playing with a combination of four speedsters against Australia in the WTC final 2023. Rohit Sharma’s team will be looking to clinch their first ICC title after a long gap of 10 years since they last won the 2013 Champions Trophy under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Australia on the other hand will be looking to take revenge for the losses they faced in the recently passed Border- Gavaskar Trophy. Also, this is the second time that the Indian team are playing the WTC final as they played it last year too against New Zealand where they suffered a loss.
