Welcome to the Day 3 of the India vs England 4th Test match in Ranchi. Kuldeep Yadav and Dhruv Jurel will continue from there overnight scores of 17 and 30 respectively as India were reduced to 219-7 in 73 overs in their first batting innings, courtesy to England's Shoaib Bashir. India still trail by 134 runs as England would look to wrap things up and take a considerable lead going into the 3rd innings.

Dhrub Jurel new man In. Inexperienced duo at this level but massive opportunity.
Jaiswal Departs and it's Bashir again! Fourth wicket for the spinner in this spell and perhaps the biggest of the four given the kind of form he was in Jaiswal falls for 73. That one's a bit quick that keeps low and even Jaiswal can only manage the toe end of his bat to ball. Stumps are rattled. IND- 161/5 after 46.4 Overs.

We are Back after the tea break. Jaiswal and Sarfaraz for India. Bashir resumes for England.
Tea has been called by the umpire. 3 wickets for 97 runs. England win that session for sure. All three wickets going to Bashir. Sarfaraz Khan and Jaiswal the unbeaten batters for India. IND- 131/4 after 38 overs. They trail by 222 runs.
Jadeja has a short stay at the wicket. A couple of sixes off Hartley but Bashir has got one to bounce that extra bit off the surface that has taken Jadeja by surprise. Easy catch for forward short leg. IND- 130/4 after 36.5 Overs. Third wicket in the session for Bashir.
Jadeja In At 5. A left-hander joining another. So clearly Jaddu has earned a promotion ahead of Sarfaraz, nothing to do with the right and left hand batting combination.
Bashir Gets Another. Second wicket for him. First Gill and now Patidar. This one skids on after pitching and replays confirm after Patidar opts for DRS, that it would have gone to clip the leg stump. IND- 112/3 after 34.3 Overs.
India's young run machine continues his fine form. Yet another fifty plus score in this series. India are past 100. He still has a job to do.
Rajat Patidar Into The Middle. He would be under some pressure for sure. Hasn't had a big score yet. Not too many chances up for grabs at this level.
WICKET! It's turning in sharply and Gill seems to be late on the shot. It's struck him on his pads and up goes the finger. Gill reviews but to no avail. IND- 86/2 after 24.1 Overs.
Robinson Into The Attack. Almost got a wicket there as Jaiswal's edge almost carried through to the keeper. The umpires went upstairs and the verdict was not out, England looked surprised at that call.
India Get A Move On. Both batters look settled and relaxed and boundaries have come a bit more freely in the last few overs. What a shot from Jaiswal off Bashir as he goes down the wicket for a six over long on in that last over.
Top Bowling in that over from Anderson. A couple of short balls to surprise by the veteran pacer to surprise Gill before hitting his usual length. It's a maiden to Gill.

The post lunch session gets underway. Gill and Jaiswal resume batting for India while its Bashir who will bowl the first over in this session for England.
Jaiswal, Gill Gearing Up For the Second Session. This promises to be another exciting session.
At the lunch break on Day 2, India finds themselves trailing by 319 runs. Shubman Gill remains unbeaten on 4 runs, while Yashasvi Jaiswal is also not out on 27 runs.

England are 9 wickets down! A flighted delivery from Jadeja, pitched right above, is mistimed by Bashir as he ends up with a big leading edge. Patidar makes no mistake in taking a simple catch. England are 352/9 after 104.2 overs.
WICKET! Robinson departs after a promising innings and it is Ravindra Jadeja who gets the priced wicket. Robinson is caught by Dhruv Jurel off Jadeja's delivery, scoring 58 runs off 96 balls. He attempted the reverse sweep for the first time in this innings and pays the price. ENG are 348/8 after 102.2 overs.
Another FOUR from Root; a superb shot from the right-hander! With that boundary, Root and Robinson complete a 100-run partnership. England appears to be cruising at the moment. ENG are 347/7 after 101 overs.
India has permitted Robinson to score rapidly, and runs are flowing too freely. "There's no energy," comments Graeme Swann on air, noting the lack of vigor in India's bowling performance.

England, fighting to remain alive in the five-match series, finished the day 1 of IND vs ENG Ranchi Test at 302 for 7 after choosing to bat first.
That's the end of the day's play. England finish at 302/7. Joe Root - 106* and Ollie Robinson- 31* off 60. The duo have added a stand worth over 50 already in a partnership which would be a bit frustrating for England.
This has been a fine hundred from Root. His first one of the series, his 10th against India. Thanks to him, the three Lions are approching the 300-run mark which looks a must on this surface especially when batting first.
Oh Dear, India have run out DRS and replays confirmed that an LBW shout against Ollie Robinson was actully out but given not out. No option for India but to get on with the game.
Another one goes down! Hartley falls for 13 off 26 and England are now 7 down as Siraj gets his second wicket in quick succession. A bit of late movement on that occasion and the batter was squared up. ENG- 245/7 after 75.3 Overs.
And there's the wicket and it's Mohammed Siraj who produces it for India, ending a 113-run stand. Bit of reverse swing and as Foakes to play it on the leg side, he only manages an inside half of the bat, the ball stays in the air and Ravindra Jadeja pouches a fine catch at short midwicket. ENG- 225/6 after 67.4 Overs.

First Half-Century Of The Series for Joe Root. It had been a quiet one for Root but he has brought up a fine fifty here in Ranchi.
Good sensible batting this by the duo. They have looked in control and managed no further wickets in round about an hour into the second session.

At the end of the 40-over mark, England are 150/5. 3 wickets for debutant Akash Deep, what a wonderful spell of bowling this has been already. A wicket apiece for Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin. Partnership worth 38 already between Root and Foakes.
