The administration confirmed the deaths of 30 devotees in a tragic incident during the Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj. On Tuesday night, a stampede occurred near the Sangam area during the Amrit Snan on Makar Sankranti. The chaos unfolded as devotees gathered for the auspicious occasion. Upon receiving the news, authorities swiftly worked to control the situation. DIG Vaibhav Krishna reported that 90 individuals were injured in the stampede. Meanwhile, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw reviewed the Kumbh train services and monitored train operations at the Rail Bhavan war room. A total of 370 trains were operational, with 150 special and 130 daily trains running until 7 PM. Trains were dispatched every four minutes, using eight stations to manage the flow of passengers.
