In Madhya Pradesh's Satna district, veterinarians successfully performed surgery on a 21-year-old parrot to remove a tumor and save its life. About six months ago, the parrot's owner noticed a lump on its neck, which gradually grew larger, causing significant discomfort. The parrot struggled to speak and eat properly. Concerned, the owner consulted doctors at the District Veterinary Hospital in Satna. After an examination, the veterinarians diagnosed a tumor and recommended surgery. The operation, which lasted around two hours, was successfully performed on Sunday, September 15, during which a 20-gram tumor was removed. The veterinarian noted that this was the first case of a tumor found in a bird in the district. The successful procedure was a major relief for both the parrot’s owner and the emotional veterinary team.
