In the wake of the chaos at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, authorities halted over 2 lakh vehicles across eight districts at the Prayagraj border. To control the crowd, special trains that had arrived were suspended until further notice. As a result, traffic came to a standstill on highways in these districts. Additionally, buses heading to Prayagraj were stopped at bus stations, causing a massive 20 km traffic jam in Varanasi. Vehicles remained stranded on the roads until 3:30 am, with similar conditions reported in other districts. The situation remains challenging, with authorities working to manage the crowd and restore normalcy for the event.
