The Indian government is expected to announce significant decisions regarding the implementation of the Labor Code in the upcoming budget. The announcement will clarify how the new code will be applied, particularly in various types of companies. Initially, the Labor Code will be implemented in companies with more than 500 employees. After this, the implementation will expand in phases. In the second year, it will apply to medium-sized enterprises with 100 to 500 employees, and in the third year, it will cover small establishments with fewer than 100 employees. The process of finalizing the draft rules is nearing completion in several key states. Under the new plan, micro and small enterprises across India will have two years to comply with the Labor Code.
