Indian Scientists Develop Technique For Improved Study Of Atoms With Quantum Properties

The technique is helpful because it can remove 50 per cent of unwanted interference fringes in the images of ultracold atoms. These are atoms whose temperatures are near zero Kelvin.

Indian scientists have developed a new technique that will allow them to study atoms exhibiting quantum properties better. This is an image-correction technique, and will help scientists obtain better images of atoms near absolute zero temperature (zero Kelvin). The atoms whose temperatures are near zero Kelvin are known as ultracold atoms. At low temperatures near absolute zero, atoms exhibit quantum properties.  The technique is helpful because it can remove 50 per cent of unwanted
