Earth Day: India, a major greenhouse gas emitter, is experiencing climate change impacts, which include water stress, heat waves and drought, poor health, disurpted livelihoods, severe storms, and flooding. Increased urbanisation, and plastic packaging for fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) such as cosmetics, groceries, and food are the major reasons behind the huge accumulation of plastic waste in India. Not only does plastic waste harm humans, but also has a devastating impact on the
