Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Basmati Rice
  • 2 Piece Tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1 Piece Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 Piece Green Chilli (slit)
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 2 Pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 Tablespoon Ghee
  • 3 Piece Curry Leaves
  • 2 Cup Water
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Salt

Main Procedure

Step 1

Rinse the rice properly under col water and soak it for about 10-15 minutes. Once done, drain the water and set aside.

Step 2

Take a pan, heat ghee over medium heat. Once it's hot, add in cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and curry leaves in it.

Step 3

Add in the chopped onions and saute it until it's golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute.

Step 4

Add chopped onions, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.

Step 5

Add the soaked rice and stir properly to mix everything together. Add in water and bring it to boil.

Step 6

Simmer the heat and cook it for about 10 minutes. Wait for the rice to cook properly and the water to absorb. Turn off the flame once done.

Step 7

Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve it hot with chutney or raita for an added flavour.
