- 0.5 Cup Singhare Ka Atta (water chestnut flour)
- 2 Tablespoon Ghee
- 1.5 Cup Water
- 5 Tablespoon Sugar
- 0.5 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
- Chopped Dry Fruits
Main Procedure
Step 1
Take a non-stick pan and heat ghee in it.
Step 2
Add singhare ka atta and roast it on low flame. Wait till it turns aromatic and light brown.
Step 3
Take a separate saucepan and mix water and sugar in it. Bring the mixture to boil.
Step 4
Slowly pour the hot sugar water into the roasted flour. Keep on stirring continuously to avoid any lumps.
Step 5
Cook the halwa on low heat and keep on stirring until the mixture thickens.
Step 6
Add cardamom powder, mix it well, and then turn off the flame.
Step 7
Garnish the halwa with chopped dry fruits and serve it warm.
