Ingredients
- 2 Cup Full Fat Milk
- 2 Tablespoon Almond (soaked, peeled)
- 1 Tablespoon Cashew
- 1 Tablespoon Melon Seeds
- 1 Tablespoon Poppy Seeds
- 1 Tablespoon Fennel Seeds
- 2 Tablespoon Sugar or Honey
- 0.5 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
- 5 Piece Black Peppercorns
- 10 Piece Saffron Strands
- 1 Tablespoon Rose Water or Dried Rose Petals
- 1 Teaspoon Gulkand
- 1.5 Cup Water
- 1 Tablespoon Pistachio
Main Procedure
Step 1
Soak almonds, cashews, pistachios, melon seeds, poppy seeds, and fennel seeds in warm water overnight or for a few hours.
Step 2
Drain the soaked ingredients and blend them into a smooth paste and add a little milk. After blending, add cardamom, black peppercorns, saffron, and rose petals to enhance the flavour of the drink.
Step 3
Take a pan and heat milk in it. Add in the blended paste and let it simmer for a few minutes. Remove it from heat and let the drink cool down.
Step 4
Add sugar or honey to it and mix well. Strain the mixture to remove any coarse particles.
Step 5
Add water or milk to it. Stir in rose water and let the drink chill in the refrigerator for about an hour. Serve this traditional drink topped with saffron strands and chopped nuts.
