Ingredients
- 9 Tablespoon Milk Powder
- 3.5 Cup All Purpose Flour
- 0.5 Tablespoon Semolina
- 2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 2 Tablespoon Curd
- 2 Tablespoon Milk
- 0.5 Teaspoon Gulkand
- 1 Teaspoon Pistachios, chopped
- 250 Gram Sugar
- 1 Cup Water
- 2 Piece Cardamom Pods, crushed
- 1 Tablespoon Rose water
- Ghee
Main Procedure
Combine milk powder, all-purpose flour, semolina, baking soda, curd, and milk in a large mixing bowl. Blend thoroughly to form a uniform mixture.
Knead the mixture into a soft dough, then divide it into equal portions and shape them into smooth, crack-free balls. Cover them to prevent drying out.
Heat ghee in a kadai and test the temperature by dropping a small piece of dough into the hot ghee. Ensure the ghee is medium-hot before frying.
Fry the gulab jamun balls on medium heat, ensuring the ghee is not overheated to avoid browning the exterior while leaving the inside uncooked.
Cook the balls until they turn light golden brown, gently stirring to ensure even cooking on all sides.
Immerse the fried gulab jamuns in warm sugar syrup and let them soak for 15-20 minutes before serving.
For Sugar Syrup: In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, cardamom pods, and rose water. Stir the mixture on medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the syrup slightly thickens.
Make sure the syrup remains warm while adding the fried gulab jamuns.
