Ingredients
- 1 Cup Basmati or Jasmine Rice
- 1 Cup Coconut Milk
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Tablespoon Ghee
- 1 Piece Onion (finely chopped)
- 2 Piece Green Chilli
- 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 1 Piece Sprig Curry Leaf
- 0.5 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- Coriander Leaves
Main Procedure
Step 1
Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water.
Step 2
Take a pan, heat ghee in it. Add in mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Let all of them splutter.
Step 3
Add in onions and green chillies. Saute it well.
Step 4
Add in turmeric powder and grated coconut. Cook it well.
Step 5
Add rice and stir it to coat it with spices. Pour coconut milk, water, and salt. Cook for about 15 minutes and wait till the liquid is absorbed.
Step 6
Once done, remove from heat. Garnish it with chopped cilantro and serve it warm.
