Dwarka court granted interim bail to Congress leader Pawan Khera in view of the order passed by the Supreme Court. The court granted him interim bail on furnishing a bond of Rs 30,000. He was arrested by Assam Police earlier today.

Pawan Khera has been arrested under various sections of 120B/153A/153B/500/504/505/502 which includes criminal conspiracy, and inciting communal disharmony.
Pawan Khera was booked for taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and calling him Narendra "Gautam Das" in an apparent jibe at the Adani row.
BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia commented on Pawan Khera's arrest saying that the Congress party has been doing "cheap politics" and that the party is not above the law.
"The law has also been violated at the airport. The demonstration was done at the airport and abuses are being spoken. The country's illustrious PM has the blessings of 140 crore people."
The Supreme Court has agreed to hear plea related to Pawan Khera's arrest at 3 pm today, reported ANI.
IndiGo said that Pawan Khera was deplaned by police from the Raipur-bound flight and was following the advice of concerned authorities, reported PTI.
Arrested Congress leader Pawan Khera will be produced in a Delhi court after which he will be taken to Assam on transit remand, reported ANI.
While being deboarded from the IndiGo flight, Pawan Khera said that it is a long battle and he was ready to fight.
"We will see (in which case they are taking me). It's a long battle and I'm ready to fight," said the Congress leader Pawan Khera.

"We have requested Delhi police to arrest him (Pawan Khera). We will bring him to Assam after taking permission from a local court," Prasanta Kumar Bhuyan, IGP Law & Order and Spokesperson of Assam police had told news agency ANI.
The development comes as the Congress Party on Thursday began a protest at Delhi airport after its senior leader Pawan Khera was deplaned from Delhi-Raipur Indigo flight 6E-204. The grand old party criticised the Modi government, alleging a "dictatorial" move ahead of the Congress party's 85th plenary session, scheduled to take place in Raipur from February 24 to 26.
Senior Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said that Khera was stopped citing an FIR by Assam Police, "Today we were going for the Congress Plenary Sessoin to Raipur, and our colleague Pawan Khera was told that he left his luggage but he was not carrying any luggage. Then the Police came and said Assam Police has registered an FIR."
"We asked them to show an arrest warrant but they did not show any order. It is completely illegal Assam and Delhi Police have stopped our flight forcefully," he claimed.
