The Lok Sabha successfully passed the National Nursing and Midwifery Commission Bill, 2023, and the National Dental Commission Bill, 2023, on Friday, despite facing protests and sloganeering from the Opposition benches. The National Nursing and Midwifery Commission Bill aims to establish the National Nursing and Midwifery Commission, responsible for the development and regulation of all aspects pertaining to nursing and midwifery education, institutions, and profession. Additionally, the bill proposes the formation of a Nursing and Midwifery Advisory Council to offer guidance and recommendations to the National Commission.
During a year-long spot field drive, the government revealed today in Lok Sabha that 1,551 street children were successfully rescued and provided with much-needed care and support.

Tomorrow MPs delegation will leave. Today evening the names of those leaders will be released...the purpose of this delegation is to understand people's pain there (Manipur)..."
AAP MP Raghav Chadha, says "No bill is introduced in Parliament after a no-confidence motion is accepted by the Lok Sabha Speaker, but we are seeing that several bills are introduced and passed in Parliament. I appeal to the Speaker that no legislative business should take place in Lok Sabha now...A delegation of the I.N.D.I.A bloc will visit Manipur, with the hope of providing support & stand in solidarity with the people of Manipur. It is too little, too late to handover the Manipur viral video case to CBI after 85 days."
On the Opposition's attack on the Central govt and PM Modi, BJP MP Jagannath Sarkar says, "I have no idea about Rahul Gandhi's political history, we often give wrong statements...Congress does not want discussions in the Parliament. They only want to question PM Modi. They should have discussions first, only then PM will answer to their questions..."

The session is crucial as the BJP and opposition have sharpened attacks on each other as they gear up for a host of assembly polls this year and the Lok Sabha elections next year.
