"Rahul Gandhi's comment that his phone is tapped is irresponsible. His strategy has been that the Parliament should not work. He does not believe in the progress of the nation. If he feels his phone is tapped then he can ask for an investigation," BJP leader Rajyavardhan Rathore said.

The only business that could be transacted so far was a 4-hour discussion on COVID-19 issues and the hour-long reply of the concerned Minister, Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu stated.
"Since that discussion could take place, leaders and members could place on record their views and concerns over management of pandemic besides highlighting shortcomings and suggesting a way forward. Therein lies the beauty of such discussions. Why not have more of them in House?" he asked.

TMC MP Santanu Sen has been suspended from Rajya Sabha for this entire session, a day after he snatched papers from IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and tore them in the House.
"Santanu Sen, please withdraw from House. Allow the House to function," said RS Chairman adjourning House till 12 PM following an uproar that started during TMC MP Derek O'Brien's statement over yesterday's incident.

"I'm deeply distressed by the course of events in House. Unfortunately, proceedings of the House hit a new low with papers being snatched from the Minister and torn into pieces. Such actions are a clear assault on our Parliamentary democracy," Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu.
Directly hitting at Centre over Pegasus Row, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi demanded the resignation of Home Minister Amit Shah and asked for a Supreme Court-led judicial probe against Prime Minister Modi.
Asserting the Pegasus spyware is used as a weapon by the Israeli government, he said what the Modi government has done (alleged snooping) amounts to "treason".
