Times Now-C Voter predicted a clear majority for the TMC by projecting 162 seats for the party and 115 for the BJP

West Bengal Exit Poll Results: Republic-CNX survey shows BJP to have edge over TMC

In West Bengal, the Republic-CNX polls gave the BJP a slight edge by projecting 138-148 seats for the party in the 294-seat assembly and 128-138 to the TMC.



Puducherry Exit Poll: NDA Set To Retain Power

As per the ABP-C-Voter Exit Poll, AINRC, BJP, and ADMK's alliance has seen a gain of 16.6% as compared to the last Puducherry assembly polls.


As the vote swing percentage predicts that the NDA is far ahead of the UPA, the ABP-C-Voter Exit Poll suggests that NDA will be able to secure 19 to 23 seats in the 30-member elected assembly.

ABP-C-Voter Kerala Exit Poll 2021 - Seat Range

According to ABP C-Voter Exit Poll 2021, the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) will return to power in Kerala. In the 140-member assembly, the Pinarayi Vijayan-led LDF government may win with a simple majority in the Kerala Polls 2021, by capturing somewhere between 71-77 seats (the magic number being 71).

Congress + DMK Likely To Sweep Tamil Nadu Polls

The AIADMK is contesting this election in alliance with the BJP while the DMK has partnered with Congress. Tamil Nadu witnessed single-phase polling on April 6th amid the rising Covid cases and the state registered a huge voter turnout of  72.78%. 


The data received shows a Stalin-led DMK emerging victorious with a clear majority bagging the seats in the range of 160-172 while the AIADMK+BJP alliance is likely to gain around 58-70 seats.

Assam Exit Poll: NDA To Secure 58-71 Seats

ABP-Cvoter Exit Poll predicts that BJP-led NDA might win somewhere around 58 to 71 seats. Making impressive inroads, Congress-led UPA is projected to bag seats in the range of 53 to 66 in 2021 Assam Assembly polls. While other parties and independent candidates will win somewhere around 0 to 5 seats in the upcoming polls. The msgic figure in the battle for Assam is 64.

Bengal Exit Poll: Congress+Left Lose Ground

In a massive jolt, Congress+Left alliance is most likely to lose its grounds in West Bengal as projections suggest that it will manage to secure only 15 per cent vote share. In 2016 Assembly polls, Congress & Left had secured a gigantic 38 per cent vote share.

Bengal Exit Poll: BJP Gains Big In Vote Share

ABP News along with C-Voter conducted an Exit Poll to gauge the mood of voters in West Bengal. As per the survey, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to make significant inroads in Bengal with bagging as much as 39 per cent vote share. It is to be noted that the saffron party managed to secure mere 10 per cen vote share in 2016 Assembly polls. 

Final Phase Of Polling In Bengal Concludes

In the last phase, 8,493,255 people spread across 35 Assembly constituencies exercised their franchise to elect their representatives from a total of 283 candidates.


An analysis of the Assembly seats on the parameters of 2019 Lok Sabha elections shows that Trinamool Congress had a lead in 19 constituencies, BJP had an edge in 11 constituencies and the rest of the five seats were in control of the Congress. The Left Front hardly had any impression in these 35 seats.

Stray Violence, Attack On Candidates Mark Last Phase Of Bengal Polls

Meanwhile, tray incidents of violence were reported on Thursday from several areas where voting is underway for the eighth and last phase of assembly elections in Bengal. Voting is being held in 11,860 polling stations of 35 constituencies -- 11 each in Murshidabad and Birbhum, six in Malda and seven in north Kolkata.

Assembly Polls: EC Guidelines For Counting

According to the guidelines issued by Election Commission, the DEO (District Election Officer) will have to make arrangements for counting halls which should be sufficiently big to maintain social distancing, and should have proper ventilation, windows, exhaust fans. The DEO will have to obtain a compliance certificate from the concerned health authorities before the commencement of the counting.

"No candidates/agents will be allowed inside the counting hall without undergoing RT-PCR/RAT test or without having 2 doses of vaccination against Covid-19 and will have to produce negative RT-PCR report or RAT report and vaccination report within 48 hours of start of counting.

Polls have been completed in all the states barring Bengal, where the eighth and final phase of election is underway. 


In the wake of uncontrolled increase of Covid cases across the country, the Election Commission (EC) has banned all kinds of victory processions after the poll results are declared on May 2. 


The poll body has also made it mandatory that no candidate/agent will be allowed inside the counting centres without undergoing RT-PCR/RAT test or without having taken two doses of vaccine against Covid-19.
