According to ANI, "Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh: Several areas in KVB Puram Mandal such as Kovanur, Thimmasamudram, Rajula Kandiga face overflow of rivers due to heavy rainfall in the region, roads submerged and traffic disrupted."
Gagandeep Bedi, Commissioner, Greater Chennai Corporation said, "More than 200 people have been relocated to camps, and around 9000 provided with food."
"Around 400-500 trees were uprooted. We were prepared for the cyclone and had cut the branches of 15000 trees to avoid accidents. 500 staff,300 vehicles were deployed so main road was cleared and traffic was not disrupted," he said.

Tamil Nadu CM Stalin said, "I inspected the affected areas. Corporation workers have worked very well. 4 people have lost their lives in this heavy rainfall. 98 cattle died too. 151 houses and huts got damaged, other damages are being calculated. In Chennai 400 trees uprooted."

Due to Cyclone Mandous, Vandular Zoo will be closed for public today, said the zoo authorities.
Several trees have been uprooted in places including Egmore and Nungambakkam in Chennai. Overall, Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) said that over 100 trees have been uprooted due to the impact of the cyclone.

Dindigul Collector has declared a holiday for schools and colleges in Sirumalai and Kodaikanal for tomorrow.
Northern coastal Tamil Nadu witnessed light to moderate rainfall and some places heavy showers as the cyclone continued to move closer to the state's coastline, IMD said. At the disaster management control room, Chief Minister MK Stalin reviewed the preparedness by interacting with monitoring officers and officials in districts.

Cyclone Mandous LIVE Updates: Hello and welcome to ABP Live blog, follow this space for latest updates on Cyclone Mandous which intensified over Bay of Bengal into a severe cyclonic storm and is is predicted to weaken gradually before crossing near Chennai coast on December 9 midnight, the India Meteorological Department said on Thursday.
As per a report by PTI, the Tamil Nadu government said that 12 teams, comprising nearly 400 personnel from the National Disaster Response Force and the State force, have been deployed in 10 districts including Nagapattinam and Thanjavur in the Cauvery delta region, Chennai, its three neighbouring districts and Cuddalore.
A holiday has been declared for schools and colleges on Friday.
"The CS Mandous intensified into a SCS and lay centered at 1730 IST over SW BoB about 350 km ESE of Karaikal and about 440 km SE of Chennai. It is very likely to maintain its intensity of SCS till early morning of 9th Dec and then weaken gradually into a CS by forenoon of 9th Dec," the MeT department tweeted.
In an updated bulletin, the weather department said that the 'Mandous' lay 310 km off Karaikal and about 390 km off Chennai, the PTI report stated.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rains were witnessed in several parts of northern Tamil Nadu under the influence of the cyclone since Thursday night.
As per the IMD, On December 9, light to moderate rainfall is expected at most places and heavy to very heavy showers at a few places and extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places in north coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry. Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in adjoining south coastal Andhra Pradesh and north interior Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema. Following the land fall, the rainfall is set to recede.
