ASI officials told news agency PTI that the survey work will resume again at 8 am on Sunday. A former senior ASI official has said that the ground penetrating radar technology being used in the ongoing scientific survey is the best non-intrusive method to detect if any structure is buried under the mosque, PTI reported.
Former additional director general of the ASI B R Mani said radar technology or ground penetrating radar (GPR) technology involves certain types of equipment.
According to PTI, Mani said special equipment like magnetometers, radiometers, fluxgate sensors, and remote sensing among others are needed to understand the sub-surface or the buried objects or structures.
