The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the dates for the upcoming Assembly Election for the five states. The Model Code of Conduct has become active since the announcement of dates by the ECI.
All provisions of the poll code will apply to the whole of Goa, Manipur, Punjab Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh with regard to all candidates, political parties and the governments of the five states, the Election Commission said on Saturday.
The Supreme Court has reserved it's hearing on the Prime Minister Modi Security Lapse case of Punjab for today. The CJI will be giving his decision regarding the case.
