In an apparent attempt to counter the BJP's focus on the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the AAP has announced its plan to hold "Sundar Kand" recital programmes across Delhi on Tuesdays.

Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand, one of the four Shankaracharyas who denied attending the Ram Temple inauguration ceremony says, "I understand that the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony is scheduled for January 22. I've also been informed that the temple construction is not yet complete. According to our 'Shastra,' the 'Pratishtha' should only happen once the temple is properly constructed. Therefore, it's not suitable for me to attend."

Meanwhile, all four Shankaracharyas, who preside over the major Hindu shrines known as 'peeths', have decided to not attend the inauguration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. The Shankaracharyas lead the shrines located in Joshimath (Uttarakhand), Dwarka (Gujarat), Puri (Odisha), and Sringeri (Karnataka), all established by the eighth-century religious scholar Adi Shankaracharya.
