Apple Event HIGHLIGHTS: The most anticipated phone of the year, the iPhone 12 series has been launched at Apple’s virtual event on Tuesday. In the digital 'Hi, Speed' event, the Cupertino-based tech giant released four models of the iPhone 12 -- the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Mini, the 6.1-inch iPhone 12, the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max, which is what makes this event bigger than the previous launch event.Earlier, in the month of September, the tech giant had launched its iPad Air 4 tablet, the successor to the iPad Air (2019) that launched last year, at its mega annual event 'Time Flies'. The company has marked 10 years of iPad this year. It also launched the Apple Watch Series 6. Just ahead of its mega launch of iPhone 12, Apple Inc has released watch OS 7.0.2 with a fix for a bug which could cause the battery in the Apple Watch to drain more quickly, as well as addressing issues with the ECG app.




The update is the second release since watchOS 7 was rolled out to the users in September. WatchOS 7.0.2 can be downloaded for free through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General and then clicking on Software Update.

The Counterpoint Research ‘Market Outlook' predicted that Apple's October-December 2020 line-up sales will exceed the iPhone 11 family's September-December sales by 1 per cent.

This growth is despite a delayed launch in 2020 where Apple's new line-up will see zero sales in September and also miss much of October sales.
