"Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan recording high cases and increasing positivity rate. While states such as Maharashtra, UP, Delhi, Odisha, Haryana and West Bengal have staretd reporting a decline in cases and positivity rate," the Ministry added.

Maharashtra on Wednesday recorded 35,756 new coronavirus cases, up from 33,914 logged a day ago, while deaths linked to the infection remained high at 79, the state health department said.
No new case of the Omicron variant of the novel coronavirus was reported in the state, the department said in a bulletin.
With these additions, the state's COVID-19 caseload rose to 76,05,181, while the death toll reached 1,42,316, it said.
On Tuesday, the state had reported 86 deaths linked to the infection.
Till date, a total of 2,858 patients have been found infected with the highly contagious Omicron variant in the state of which 1,534 have already recovered.
As many as 39,857 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking their cumulative number to 71,60,293, the department said.
The state, where the coronavirus recovery rate is 94.15 per cent, now has 2,98,733 active cases.
Meanwhile, the national capital reported 7,498 fresh COVID-19 cases and 29 deaths in a day as the positivity rate rose marginally to 10.59 per cent, according to the health department's data on Wednesday.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has called the meeting on Thursday to deliberate on easing the curbs in the national capital in view of the improved situation of COVID-19. The issue of reopening schools is also on the agenda.
Wednesday's health bulletin stated that 11,164 patients were discharged in a day and less than 15 per cent of the Covid beds in hospitals were occupied.
The city had logged 5,760 new Covid cases with a positivity rate of 11.79 per cent and 30 deaths on Monday. A day later there were 6,028 new Covid cases and 31 deaths with a positivity rate of 10.55 per cent.
The number of daily cases in Delhi has been on the decline after touching a high of 28,867 on January 13. The city had recorded a positivity rate of 30.6 per cent on January 15, the highest during the ongoing wave of Covid infections.
It took just 10 days for daily cases to drop below the 10,000-mark.
Registering a surge in numbers again, Karnataka on Wednesday reported 48,905 new cases of COVID-19 and 39 fatalities, taking the tally to 36,54,413, and death toll to 38,705.
The state on Tuesday had reported a dip in daily cases at 41,400.
There were 41,699 discharges, taking the total number of recoveries to 32,57,769, a bulletin said.
Of the new cases, 22,427 were from Bengaluru Urban that saw 18,734 people being discharged and 8 virus-related deaths.
The total number of active cases across the state is now at 3,57,909.
While the positivity rate for the day stood at 22.51 per cent, the case fatality rate (CFR) was 0.07 per cent.
