Kerala reported 55,475 new COVID cases, 30,226 recoveries, and 70 deaths in the last 24 hours.
"Corona situation is under control, the number of hospitalized patients is not increasing so there is no panic situation," said Veena George, Kerala Health Minister on Tuesday.
Gujarat reports 16,608 new COVID cases, 17,467 recoveries, and 28 deaths in the last 24 hours.
Karnataka reports 41,400 new cases, 53,093 recoveries, and 52 deaths in the last 24 hours.
"Schools to open for students of classes 10th, 11th & 12th from Feb 1 in Haryana," said State Education Minister Kanwar Pal on Tuesday.
Maharashtra reported 33,914 new COVID cases, 30,500 recoveries, and 86 deaths today.
Tamil Nadu reported 30,055 fresh COVID cases, 25,221 recoveries, and 48 deaths today.
West Bengal records 4,494 new COVID19 cases & 36 deaths today.
Mumbai reports 1815 new cases, 753 recoveries and 10 deaths in the last 24 hours.
Delhi logs 6,028 COVID cases (57132 tests), 9,127 recoveries, and 31 deaths today.

Dr Harsh Mahajan, Founder-Chief Radiologist, Mahajan Imaging on Tuesday said, "What happens in BA.2, an Omicron sub-variant, is that S-gene drop-off doesn't happen with RT-PCR. It's also known as 'stealth variant' as it's similar on thermo fisher RT-PCR kit, to what Delta was. Hence if we do not do genome sequencing, we will not be able to differentiate between Delta & this so-called stealth variant or BA.2."

West Bengal Disaster management minister told news agency PTI that 80 percent of the covid-19 death claims have been settled by the state government. He said that the West Bengal government has disbursed around Rs 74 crore to settle 15,000 claims out of the 18,500 applications they received. He added that the department has received funds of Rs 100 crore from the state disaster management authority to pay compensation for such claims.
“So far, we have spent Rs 74.4 crore to settle around 15,000 claims and it seems we may need more,” the minister further added.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that covid-19 restrictions are put to save people's lives but the government does not want to affect people's livelihood, and the restrictions will be lifted soon from Delhi. He also said that the positivity rate in Delhi has come down by 20%.
Lok Sabha member from East Delhi Gautam Gambhir on Tuesday said he has tested positive for COVID-19 and has mild symptoms.
"After experiencing mild symptoms, I tested positive for Covid today. Requesting everyone who came into my contact to get themselves tested," the cricketer-turned-politician tweeted.
In November last year, Gambhir had isolated himself at home after a family member tested positive for the virus.
The industrial and commercial city of Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore is turning into the state's Covid hotspot as the positivity rate has increased to 26.6 per cent.
In a statement on Monday, Coimbatore District Collector G.S. Sameeran called upon the people to strictly follow Covid appropriate behaviour to prevent the spread of the infection.
Sameeran also urged those who have not taken the vaccination and irected those who are eligible for the second dose of vaccine to take the jab at the earliest.
He said that vaccination facilities are available round the clock at the ESI Hospital, Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, and other taluk level hospitals.
The District Collector also said that Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) had witnessed a surge much before Coimbatore and now the Covid cases are coming down in GCC.

Agra's Petha Sellers claim that they are facing a decline in business because there are no tourists visiting the city to see the Taj Mahal, hence no sales are there. "There is a decline in the sale of petha as tourists are not coming here to see Taj Mahal," said the president of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Petha Association on Monday.
Delhi's Lieutenant governor Anil Baijal will chair a meeting with the Delhi Disaster Management Authority on January 27 to discuss the covid-19 situation in the national capital. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal will also be present at the meeting.
A decision on relaxing covid-19 related curbs can be taken at the meeting. Earlier, the LG had turned down the Delhi government's request to relax curbs.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will interact virtually with the health ministers of nine states and union territories over the COVID-19 situation at 10:30 am today, the official sources informed ANI. According to sources, these states and UTs include Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Ladakh, Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh. Earlier, Union Health Minister had interacted with the Health Ministers and Principal Secretaries of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Goa and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman Diu.

The cumulative COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country crossed 162.77 crore on Monday, the Union Health Ministry said.
More than 49 lakh (49,52,290) vaccine doses have been administered till 7 pm, taking the total number of doses to 1,62,77,06,092.
More than 87 lakh (87,33,359) precaution doses have been administered to healthcare workers, frontline workers and those aged 60 and above with comorbidities.
Also 4,25,44,326 adolescents in the 15-18 years age group have received the first dose.
Fresh Coronavirus cases in Delhi continued to decline further as the national capital on Monday reported 5,760 new COVID cases and 30 deaths, while the positivity rate dropped to 11.79 per cent.
Delhi had on Sunday reported 9,197 COVID cases and 34 deaths with a positivity rate of 13.32 per cent.
The number of daily cases in the national capital has been declining after touching the record high of 28,867 on January 13. In 10 days, the cases have dropped below the 10,000-mark.
Delhi on Saturday recorded 45 deaths due to Coronavirus, the highest since June 5, as well as 11,486 cases with a positivity rate of 16.36 per cent.
On Friday, the city logged 10,756 cases with a positivity rate of 18.04 per cent and 38 deaths.
As many as 543 people have succumbed to COVID in the national capital so far in January.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra on Monday recorded 28,286 coronavirus cases, 12,519 less than the previous day, and 36 fresh deaths, including 17 in the Mumbai region, linked to the infection, the state health department said.
On Sunday, the state had recorded 40,805 new cases and 44 fatalities.
With the latest additions, the overall tally of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra surged to 75,35,511 and the death toll jumped to 1,42,151, a department bulletin said.
Maharashtra's case fatality rate now stands at 1.88 per cent. The recovery rate is 94.09 per cent.
As per the bulletin, the number of recovered cases in Maharashtra increased to 70,89,936 after 21,941 patients were discharged during the day, leaving the state with 2,99,604 active cases.
Also, 86 new cases of the highly contagious Omicron variant of coronavirus came to light during the day, raising the tally of such infections in Maharashtra to 2,845.
Kerala, which has been registering over 45,000 daily new COID-19 cases for the past few days, on Monday recorded 26,514 fresh positive cases taking the total affected in the state to 56,46,665.
The State reported 45,449 cases on Sunday while on Saturday, the state had recorded 45,136 new cases. On January 20, Kerala had registered 46,387 cases, the highest single-day spike since the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020.
