Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday in a high level meeting with top govt officials took stalk of the prevailing Covid-19 situation in the country, where he was given an overview of oxygen availability, medicines, health infrastructure, and other pertinent issues. Meanwhile, Maharashtra added 66,358 fresh cases and 895 death in a single day while the national capital logged a record 381 COVID-19 deaths. The registration for the Covid-19 vaccination drive for citizens above 18 years of age will start today. The eligible citizens will be able to book a slot online via government's official website Co-Win.

Maharashtra Lockdown Extended By 15 Days, State Likely To Delay Vaccinating 18+

The COVID-19 vaccination drive beginning May 1 cannot be launched in Maharashtra because of the unavailabily of sufficient doses of vaccines even as the state on Wednesday extended the current lockdown-like restrictions till May 15 given the rise in the COVID-19 cases.


State Health Minister Rajesh Tope also said the people in the age group of 18 to 44 years will receive free vaccines at state-run centres but citizens will have to pay for the jabs at private facilities.

It Appears Centre Wants People To Die, Says HC On New Protocol On Remdesivir Use

The Delhi High Court Wednesday said it appeared that the Centre wanted people to die as according to the new protocol on use of Remdesivir for COVID-19 treatment, the drug was to be given only to those on oxygen support.


"This is wrong. This is a complete non-application of mind. Now people who do not have oxygen will not get Remdesivir either. It appears you want people to die," Justice Prathiba M Singh said to the central government.

Curfew In Mohali: Weekdays Only At Night, Weekends All Day

Curfew in the entire district from 6 PM to 5 AM on all days (night curfew) & from 6PM every Friday to 5 AM of every Monday (weekend curfew). Rajasthan HC sent notices to Centre based on PIL regarding discrimination of oxygen supply

Rajasthan High Court has sent notices to Central & state governments on my PIL in which I stated that the Centre is discriminating against Rajasthan in supply of oxygen & Remdesivir injections. Next date of hearing is April 30: Advocate Poonam Chandra Bhandari in Jaipur.
