Amid Political Crisis, Jharkhand CM To Seek Trust Vote


Amidst the political developments in Jharkhand, the Hemant Soren government will bring a motion of confidence in the assembly. The Hemant Soren government has called a special meeting of the Legislative Assembly on 5 September. 


Soren will move a motion for seeking a trust vote during the special session of the Assembly on Monday, amid continuing confusion over Jharkhand Chief Minister's continuation as an MLA. 


According to the letter sent by the Assembly Secretariat to the MLAs, the Chief Minister has expressed his desire to move a vote of confidence to prove his majority.


Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina To Begin 4-Day Visit To India


Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be on a four-day visit to India on Monday. During this, India and Bangladesh can announce measures to enhance cooperation in the areas of defence, trade and river water sharing.


After the talks between Hasina and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, the two sides are expected to sign several agreements, including the interim sharing of the waters of the Kushiyara river.


Hasina's delegation is set to comprise Foreign Minister A K Abdul Momen, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan, Liberation War Minister A K M Mozammel Haq and Mashiur AKM Rahman, the economic affairs advisor to the PM.


Defence Minister Rajnath to begin 5-day visit to Mongolia, Japan on Monday 


Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will leave on Monday on a five-day visit to Mongolia and Japan. The visit aims to expand India's defense and security ties with both countries.


In Japan, Rajnath and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will hold foreign and defense ministerial-level talks with their Japanese counterparts in a 'two plus two' format, people with knowledge of the entire development said.
