You are requested to kindly send a list of the delegation along with their names who would be meeting the governor," said a letter sent by the governor’s deputy secretary.Earlier in the day, Trinamool Rajya Sabha MP Derek O'Brien wrote to the governor, demanding a meeting.Uttarakhand Colleges To Celebrate October 7 As ‘Garh Bhoj Diwas’Every year on October 7, universities and colleges across Uttarakhand will celebrate 'Garh Bhoj Diwas' to honour the hill state's traditional foods and crops, which are high in nutritional and therapeutic value. "It will familiarise our younger generation, who are growing up on an overload of junk food, with the nutritional value of our traditional foods as well as their rich taste," Dwarika Prasad Semwal, a social activist who has spearheaded a project to popularise the state's traditional foods, told PTI on Friday.He stated that Uttarakhand Health and Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat has asked the vice-chancellors of the universities and the heads of various institutions to commemorate October 7 as 'Garh Bhoj Diwas'.
