In a development regarding the Chhattisgarh Liquor Scam case, Saurabh Pandey, the lawyer representing the Enforcement Directorate (ED), revealed details concerning the progress of bail applications. During the ED's investigation into the Chhattisgarh Liquor Scam, four individuals, including prime accused Anwar Dhebar, Trilok Singh Dhillon, Nitesh Purohit, and Arun Tripathi, were arrested. While the Special Court in Raipur rejected their initial bail application, the Chhattisgarh High Court granted interim bail to Anwar Dhebar, Trilok Singh Dhillon, and Nitesh Purohit. However, Pandey disclosed that their bail application faced a recent setback when it was rejected during its final hearing.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) successfully concluded a two-day Anti-Terror Conference on Friday, reaffirming a collective commitment among the NIA, Anti-Terror Squads (ATS), and Counter-Terrorism (CT) units of all Indian states. Priyanka Gandhi To Visit Chhattisgarh's Kanker District Today:
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will attend the 'Nagariya Nikaay evam Panchayati Raj Mahasammlen', an event organised by the Chhattisgarh government, in Kanker district of the poll-bound state on Friday, news agency PTI reported citing an official.
According to the report, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will be the chief guest at the function, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development projects worth Rs 866.16 crore.
In addition, materials worth Rs 578.31 crore will be distributed to 12,730 beneficiaries under various schemes as part of the programme.
According to the report, the event will take place at 11 a.m. in Kanker's Govindpur area. It will be Gandhi's second visit to the Congress-ruled state in 15 days, with assembly elections scheduled for November-December.

Recognising a schism within the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), the Election Commission summoned the party's rival factions for a personal hearing on Friday, news agency PTI reported. Ajit Pawar's faction had rebelled against NCP leader Sharad Pawar and petitioned the poll panel, claiming ownership of the party's name and symbol.
After careful consideration of all available information, the commission concluded that there are two rival groups within the Nationalist Congress Party, one led by Sharad Pawar and the other by Ajit Pawar, a functionary said, citing provisions of the Election Symbols (Reservation and Allotment) Order.
Met Office Predicts Prolonged Heavy Rain In Sub-Himalayan Bengal Districts Until Friday
The Meteorological Department issued a warning on Thursday of heavy to very heavy rain in West Bengal's sub-Himalayan districts until Friday morning due to a low-pressure area.
The weather service also predicted heavy rain in some districts of south Bengal as a result of the system.
Due to a low-pressure system over Gangetic West Bengal, heavy to very heavy rain is expected in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, and Alipurduar districts until Friday morning, according to the Met office.
Darjeeling and Kalimpong, which experienced landslides in several places, received 63 mm and 50 mm of rain, respectively, in 24 hours until Thursday morning, according to the report.
