The BJP in Rajasthan removed Sandeep Dayma, a party leader in Alwar, on Sunday for making insulting remarks about gurdwaras and mosques during a recent rally in the Tijara assembly constituency, news agency PTI reported. Onkar Singh Lakhawat, the head of the Rajasthan BJP's disciplinary committee, announced the decision to dismiss Dayma. "Sandeep Dayma has been expelled from the party on direction of the state president for making a statement against the ideology of the party," Lakhawat said.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has issued blocking orders against 22 illegal betting apps and websites, including Mahadev Book and Reddyannaprestopro. This action comes in response to investigations conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) into an illegal betting app syndicate, which subsequently led to raids on Mahadev Book in Chhattisgarh, exposing the app's unlawful operations, a statement by the ministry informed on Sunday.


"Chhattisgarh Government had all the power to recommend shutting down of website/app under Sec 69A IT Act. However, they did not do so and no such request is made by the State Government while they have been investigating it for last 1.5 years," he noted.

Odisha Forest department officials captured a wild leopard, which has 'killed' two persons and injured another within a week in Odisha's Nuapada district, news agency PTI reported, citing an official. Delhi Metro Train services On Blue Line To Be Briefly Regulated On Sunday Morning For Maintenance Work


Train services on the Blue Line will be briefly regulated on Sunday morning to undertake scheduled maintenance work on a section between Karol Bagh and Rajiv Chowk stations, news agency PTI reported citing officials on Friday.


The DMRC said in a statement that train services from Karol Bagh to Rajiv Chowk will be unavailable until 6 AM, the normal start time of revenue services in this section, as reported by PTI.


The Blue Line in Noida connects Dwarka Sector 21 and Electronic City.


"To undertake the scheduled maintenance work between Karol Bagh and Rajiv Chowk section of Blue Line (Dwarka Sec-21 to Noida Electronic City/Vaishali) on the intervening night of 4 and 5 November 2023, train services on the line will be be briefly regulated on early Sunday morning," according to the notice.

The Southern Railway has announced cancellation of Nilgiris Mountain Railway services on Sunday and Monday in the Mettupalayam-Coonoor sector following occurrence of landslips on the tracks, and forecast of heavy rainfall, The Hindu reported. As rocks and mud, and trees had fallen on the railway track, obstructing the NMR line, Train No.06136 Mettupalayam – Udhagamandalam train was regulated at Mettupalayam on Saturday.

On Sunday, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar will kick off the Hyderabad Half Marathon in Hyderabad. At the crack of dawn, nearly 8,000 enthusiastic runners will congregate at Gachibowli Stadium, highlighting the burgeoning running culture in the country.


The Half Marathon (21.1k), Timed 10K, and 5K Fun Run are among the three categories offered by NEB Sports.


"When it comes to running, a lot of people box themselves into different challenges. Some are concerned about their practise schedules, while others are concerned about their diet and fitness. "However, one should never feel that it is too late to begin," Tendulkar said in a statement.
