The BJP in Rajasthan removed Sandeep Dayma, a party leader in Alwar, on Sunday for making insulting remarks about gurdwaras and mosques during a recent rally in the Tijara assembly constituency, news agency PTI reported. Onkar Singh Lakhawat, the head of the Rajasthan BJP's disciplinary committee, announced the decision to dismiss Dayma. "Sandeep Dayma has been expelled from the party on direction of the state president for making a statement against the ideology of the party," Lakhawat said.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has issued blocking orders against 22 illegal betting apps and websites, including Mahadev Book and Reddyannaprestopro. This action comes in response to investigations conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) into an illegal betting app syndicate, which subsequently led to raids on Mahadev Book in Chhattisgarh, exposing the app's unlawful operations, a statement by the ministry informed on Sunday.
"Chhattisgarh Government had all the power to recommend shutting down of website/app under Sec 69A IT Act. However, they did not do so and no such request is made by the State Government while they have been investigating it for last 1.5 years," he noted.

After Amit Shah's "appeasement politics" jibe at Bihar government over caste survey, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday challenged Union Home Minister to conduct the caste census in the country and in all the BJP-ruled states, news agency ANI reported. Speaking with media, Deputy CM stated: "I heard Amit Shah's statement. He said that in the caste-based survey, the population of Yadavs and Muslims has increased and the population of other communities has decreased. Odisha Forest department officials captured a wild leopard, which has 'killed' two persons and injured another within a week in Odisha's Nuapada district, news agency PTI reported, citing an official. The 'man-eater' male leopard was captured on Saturday night from the Dharambandha area in the outskirts of Sunabeda Wildlife Sanctuary in the Nuapada district, Regional Chief Conservator of Forests (RCCF), Bhawanipata, Ashwini Kumar Kar told PTI over the phone.

The driver of a truck was burned alive when the heavy vehicle caught fire near Mulana here in the wee hours of Sunday, news agency PTI reported, citing police. Delhi Metro Train services On Blue Line To Be Briefly Regulated On Sunday Morning For Maintenance Work
Train services on the Blue Line will be briefly regulated on Sunday morning to undertake scheduled maintenance work on a section between Karol Bagh and Rajiv Chowk stations, news agency PTI reported citing officials on Friday.
The DMRC said in a statement that train services from Karol Bagh to Rajiv Chowk will be unavailable until 6 AM, the normal start time of revenue services in this section, as reported by PTI.
The Blue Line in Noida connects Dwarka Sector 21 and Electronic City.
"To undertake the scheduled maintenance work between Karol Bagh and Rajiv Chowk section of Blue Line (Dwarka Sec-21 to Noida Electronic City/Vaishali) on the intervening night of 4 and 5 November 2023, train services on the line will be be briefly regulated on early Sunday morning," according to the notice.
