A major fire broke out at a factory in the Bawana Industrial Area here on Saturday morning, officials said. A call was received around 9 am about the fire in the factory located at G Block of Bawana, a Delhi Fire Services (DFS) official said. At least 20 fire tenders were pressed into service to bring the blaze under control, the official said, adding that the fire was at the ground and first floors of the two-storey building. However, no one was injured.

At least seven persons were injured after an LPG cylinder exploded in Bihar’s East Champaran district on Friday evening, as reported by IANS. The explosion took place at Bhatnahiya village under the Darpa police station of the district.
Police said that all seven persons were critically injured in the mishap and were referred to Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital Muzaffarpur for better treatment. They were initially admitted at Sadar Hospital Motihari.

Torrential Rains Soak Tamil Nadu, More Showers Predicted for the Next 3 Days
Tamil Nadu witnessed torrential rains on Friday, with several regions drenched in heavy downpours. The regional meteorological centre in Chennai has issued a warning of more showers expected over the next three days. According to S Balachandran, Additional Director General of Meteorology, Chennai and its adjoining suburbs are likely to experience intermittent rain, occasionally intensifying into heavy rainfall, news agency PTI reported.
The next 24 hours hold the possibility of heavy rain in specific locations, including Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Theni, and Dindigul districts. Moreover, heavy rainfall is anticipated in certain areas of Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Erode, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Sivaganga, Pudukottai, Tiruppur, and Ramanathapuram districts, PTI reported.
The relentless showers have disrupted normal routines, taking office-goers and students by surprise. Rainfall has been particularly intense in the southern parts of Tamil Nadu, with isolated areas in the northern regions also experiencing heavy rain, PTI reported.
Brief Regulation of Blue Line Train Services for Maintenance Work on Sunday
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced a temporary regulation of train services on the Blue Line for scheduled maintenance work. The affected section runs between Karol Bagh and Rajiv Chowk stations. As a result, train services will not be available from Karol Bagh to Rajiv Chowk stations until 6 am, the usual start time for revenue services in this segment.
The Blue Line, which connects Dwarka Sector 21 and Electronic City in Noida, will undergo the scheduled maintenance work on the night of November 4 and 5, 2023. This maintenance work will necessitate the temporary closure of Jhandewalan and Rama Krishna Ashram Marg stations, both located in this section, until 6 am on Sunday, PTI reported.
Train services for this section and stations will recommence from 6 am onwards, as announced by the DMRC.
