At least five flights were diverted and 70 delayed at the Delhi airport due to a thunderstorm that struck the national capital on Monday afternoon, officials said.

Thane police in Maharashtra on Monday booked BJP leader Nupur Sharma for her alleged objectionable remarks against Prophet Muhammad during a television news debate, an official said.

Five people, including a seven-year-old child, were killed and four others injured on Sunday evening when a Chitrakoot-bound van and a private school bus collided head on in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur Dehat district, police said.
The accident took place in Musa Nagar area when the victims were on their way to Chitrakoot for pilgrimage, they said.
Superintendent of Police (Kanpur Dehat) Swapnil Mamgain said the victims had boarded a van and left for Chitrakoot, and had barely reached near the BRD College in Musa Nagar when it collided head on with a private school bus.
He added that the bus driver lost his control over the steering, and as a result it fell into a gorge. The driver and the helper somehow managed to flee the scene, the SP said.
After getting information about the incident, a police team along with senior officials rushed to the site and found four van passengers dead, Bhognipur Circle Officer (CO) Tanu Upadhyay said.
Six persons were killed and ten others sustained injuries after a truck hit a parked minivan in Rentachintala village of Andhra Pradesh's Palnadu district on Monday.
As per the police, as many as 39 passengers were in the minivan at the time of the accident. Gurjala Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jayram said that the minivan was coming from Srisailam.
"A serious road accident took place in the Palnadu district. Six people were killed when a truck collided with a parked minivan and turned it turtle. Another 10 sustained serious injuries. Upon receiving the information, the police went to the spot and carried out rescue operations," the DSP said. The injured were shifted to Gurjala Government Hospital and hospital in Narsaraopet.
The flood situation in Assam improved on Sunday, although nearly 4.02 lakh people remain affected by the deluge across four districts, an official bulletin said.
According to an Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) report, more than 4,01,800 people are impacted by the floods in Cachar, Dima Hasao, Morigaon and Nagaon districts.
Nagaon is the worst hit with over 2.91 lakh people in distress, followed by Cachar (over 68,500 people) and Morigaon (nearly 41,000 people).
Till Saturday, over 4.49 lakh people were affected by the deluge across the four districts in the state.

The Congress on Sunday sought the dismissal of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab over the killing of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, saying that it has lost the moral authority to govern.
Moosewala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab's Mansa district, a day after the state government curtailed his security cover.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Mansa) Gobinder Singh told PTI that Moosewala, 27, was attacked when he was in his jeep at village Jawahar Ke and several bullets hit him.
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi said he was deeply shocked and saddened by the "murder of promising Congress leader and talented artist, Sidhu Moosewala".
"My heartfelt condolences to his loved ones and fans from across the world," Gandhi said.

Modi To Release Benefits Under PM CARES For Covid-Hit Children
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday will release allowances under the PM Cares for Children scheme via video conferencing.
"The objective of the scheme is to ensure comprehensive care and protection of children in a sustained manner by providing them boarding and lodging, empowering them through education and scholarships, equipping them for self-sufficient existence with the financial support of ₹10 lakh on attaining 23 years of age and ensuring their wellbeing through health insurance," the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in a statement.
The events will also be attended by the ministers, MPs and MLAs of the respective states and union territories.
Gyanvapi Mosque: Court Adjourns Plea Seeking Rejection Of Hindu Suit Till May 30
The hearing of the Gyanvapi case is going to be held on May 30 in the district and fast track court of Varanasi. On Monday, all the matters related to Gyanvapi are to be heard in two major courts. This includes the hearing to be held in the district judge and fast track court. After the Shivling was allegedly found during the survey of Advocate Commissioner in Gyanvapi Masjid, Varanasi, the wazu khana located in the mosque has been sealed by the order of the court and the hearing of the matter is going on in the court.
On the other hand, regarding the survey in the Gyanvapi case, the District Court has ordered that the videos and photos made during the Gyanvapi Survey will be given to both the parties on 30 May. It is expected that while hearing the Gyanvapi case on Monday, the photographs and videography of the survey can be given to both parties.
