The Income Tax Department is conducting searches in Mumbai and Pune in various locations. According to ABP News sources, the I-T Dept is conducting searches at locations related to a close aide of a cabinet minister of Maharashtra. The sources further said that around 12 places are being searched in Mumbai.
Repolling in six booths in two districts of Manipur, where assembly elections were recently held is being conducted today.
Voting in these polling stations in Ukhrul and Senapati were declared to be void following violence on March 5 during the second and final phase of the assembly polls in the state, they said.
The repoll began at 7 am and will conclude by 4 pm in Ukhrul, Kalhang, Pen, Ngamju, Yangkhullen and Mao Marafii.
An estimated 84.90 per cent turnout was registered in the second phase.
One person was killed and another suffered injuries on March 5 after security personnel fired at a group of people for allegedly trying to snatch an EVM at Ngamju village in Senapati district, state election commission sources said.
The assembly polls will decide the electoral fate of 92 candidates, including 12 from the BJP, followed by Congress (18), National People's Party (11), Janata Dal (United) and Naga People's Front (10 each).
Counting of votes will take place on March 10.

The Delhi Police have set up a Pink Police chowki at Shraddhanand Marg. The chowki has been set up by Delhi Police- Central district. According to the police, the chowki has been set up in order to help sex workers at Shraddhanand Marg and empower them. "We want to help the sex workers to change profession and for that, we have decided to provide different profession courses such as vocational training. The chowki at Shraddhanand Marg was set up on February 18," Kiran Sethi, Chowki Incharge, Pink Chowki GB Road "There are a lot of sex workers in this area, our purpose is to provide vocational skills to women to make them employable. A computer lab has also been set up," DCP Shweta Chauhan.

New Delhi: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a seminar at women saint’s camp at Dhordo, Kutch via video conferencing today.
According to Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the seminar is being organized to recognise the role of women saints in society and their contribution towards women empowerment. Over 500 women saints will attend the seminar in Dhordo.
The seminar will include sessions on culture, religion, female upliftment, security, social status and the role of women in Indian culture. The welfare schemes of central and state governments benefiting women along with the achievements of women will also be discussed.
Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani, Union Ministers of State Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and Bharati Pravin Pawar will also participate in the event. The event will be graced by Sadhvi Rithambara, Maha Mandleshwar Kankeshwari Devi among others.

An avalanche has occurred at Rohli (10 km ahead from Tindi towards Killar) District Lahaul and Spiti due to which road has been blocked, the State Emergency Operation Centre said in an official statement. However, State Highway 26 is already blocked at Kadu Nallah due to landslide. There are around 5-6 vehicles stuck in between Rohli and Kadu nallah.
A rescue team from Police Post Tindi has rushed to the spot, the statement further reads. Manav Verma, SP Lahaul-Spiti, said, "A total of 119 persons were rescued and brought to Tindi. 16 vehicles were stuck due to the landslide."
