BJP President J P Nadda To Visit Telangana Today:
During a visit to Telangana on March 31, BJP President J P Nadda will inaugurate the party's office in Sangareddy town near here and also attend a meeting of state BJP office-bearers and district presidents in Hyderabad.
Nadda will arrive in Hyderabad on Friday afternoon. He will travel to Sangareddy, about 60 kilometres from Hyderabad, to inaugurate the BJP office there. Nadda will also attend a BJP activists' meeting in Sangareddy.
Nadda will virtually open BJP district unit offices in Telangana's Bhupalpally, Warangal, Jangaon, Mahabubabad, Anantapur, and Chittoor, according to Telangana BJP general secretary G Premender Reddy in a release on Wednesday.
Mumbai: BMC To Cut 15 % Of Water Supply For A Month From Friday
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) announced on Tuesday that a 15 per cent water cut will be implemented across Mumbai for 30 days beginning March 31 to repair a hole in a critical supply tunnel.
According to a BMC press release, water has been leaking from the tunnel after it was recently punctured in Thane while digging a borewell.
According to the civic body, the Bhandup water complex, which handles 65% of the total water supply to Mumbai, receives approximately 75 per cent of its supply through this 15-kilometer-long tunnel with a diameter of 5,500 mm.
Delhi: Govt To Conduct Covid Review Meeting Today
The Delhi government is closely monitoring the coronavirus situation, according to Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, who also stated that chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will hold a review meeting on Friday, PTI reported.
Bharadwaj also assured the public that there was no need to be alarmed because the hospitalisation rate was low.
According to data shared by the city health department, the number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi reached 300 on Wednesday for the first time since August 31 last year, while the positivity rate increased to 13.89 per cent. It also stated that two more Covid-related deaths had been reported.
India To Unveil New Foreign Trade Policy 2023-28 Today:
India will unveil its much-anticipated new Foreign Trade Policy 2023-28 on Friday, with the goal of increasing exports in the face of slowing global trade.
According to the ministry, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will announce the foreign trade policy.
The current foreign trade policy (2015-20) will be in effect until March 31, 2022.
The previous five-year policy was set to expire in March 2020. However, it has been repeatedly extended in the aftermath of the Covid outbreak and subsequent lockdowns.
The most recent extension was granted in September 2022 until March 31, 2023.
