PM Modi To Inaugurate Golden Jubilee Celebrations Of Agradoot Group Of Newspapers
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office on Tuesday, Modi will inaugurate the golden jubilee celebrations of the Agradoot group of newspapers via video-conferencing at 4.30 pm. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will also be present at the event. Sarma is the chief of the committee set up for the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
According to the PMO, the newspaper started as a bi-weekly magazine. It was started by Kanak Sen Deka, a senior journalist from Assam.
The PMO said that in the year 1995, the publication started as a regular newspaper. This newspaper has established its identity as a credible and effective voice of Assam.
