Sonia Gandhi's Second Round Of ED Questioning Expected
Congress President Sonia Gandhi is expected to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for the next round of questioning in the National Herald case, as reported by news agency PTI.
Significantly, the ED had questioned Sonia for two hours on Thursday in the money laundering case related to the National Herald newspaper. At the same time, in protest against this, Congress demonstrated power across the country. The date of summons issued to Sonia for questioning in the money laundering case was extended by a day to July 26. Officials said that instead of Monday, July 25, Sonia Gandhi has to appear before the ED on Tuesday. The probe pertains to alleged financial irregularities in Congress-promoted Young Indian Pvt Ltd, which owns the National Herald newspaper.
