PM To Inaugurate Projects Worth Over Rs 2,000 Crore Of Coal India Arm MCL Today:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd's projects worth more than Rs 2,000 crore in Odisha on Saturday.
"The Prime Minister will inaugurate pivotal Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) projects in Odisha on February 3," the coal ministry said in a statement.
Among these is the Rs 335 crore Bhubaneswari Phase-I First Mile Connectivity (FMC) project in Talcher Coalfields, Angul district. This project aims to shorten rake loading time, reduce carbon emissions, and cut transportation costs.
Another significant project to be inaugurated is the Lajkura Rapid Loading System, which was built at a cost of approximately Rs 375 crore.
Indian Navy To Induct Survey Vessel Sandhayak In Vizag On Feb 3:
The Indian Navy is preparing to commission its latest survey vessel, Sandhayak, in Vizag on Saturday, and the ship is expected to strengthen the force's surveillance capabilities in strategic waterways.
The distinguished guests will include Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, and Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command.
"The event will mark the formal induction into the Navy of the first of four survey vessel (large) ships under construction at M/s Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata," a spokesperson for the Navy told the news agency PTI.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Assam on February 3 for a two-day visit to unveil developmental projects worth more than Rs 11,000 crore, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Wednesday.
Sarma stated that he chaired several preparatory meetings prior to the Prime Minister's visit.
"I share this with immense joy that in a great honour for us Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji has gracefully accepted our invitation to visit Assam and spend a day with people here," the chief minister wrote in a Facebook post.
Modi will lay the foundation stone and dedicate several welfare projects worth more than Rs 11,000 crore, he said.
