Breaking LIVE: 4 Held For Using Fake Documents To Get Jobs In Police Department In Maharashtra

Four persons have been arrested in Maharashtra’s Raigad district for using fake documents to get jobs in the police department, officials said on Wednesday, as reported by the news agency PTI.Thousands of candidates appeared for written and physical tests in December 2022 in Alibag for the posts of 272 police constables, said a bulletin by the department.


After the final selection of candidates, authorities began verification of their documents. During scrutiny, it was found that four of them had submitted bogus “project-affected” certificates.


The Alibag police registered a case against them for cheating and other charges under the Indian Penal Code. The four were arrested on Tuesday and a court remanded them in police custody till June 17, the bulletin added.

Khap Leaders Give Call For Haryana Bandh On June 14


On Sunday, the Bhumi Bachao Sangharsh Samiti (BBSS) held a public assembly called 'Janta Sansad' at Mandothi Toll Plaza in the Bahadurgarh region. Dalal Khap president Bhup Singh presided over the conference, which was attended by representatives of several khaps and agricultural organisations from Haryana, Punjab, and Delhi.

Mumbai City To Observe 'No Honking Day' On June 14







Mumbai, noted for its bustling streets, lively culture, and breathtaking beaches, is also notorious for traffic delays and noise pollution caused by automobiles.


The Mumbai traffic police have decided to celebrate "No Hinking Day" on June 14 in order to reduce noise pollution in the city.


In a statement, the Mumbai Traffic Police said, "Unnecessary honking causes noise pollution in the environment and also adversely affects human health. Traffic Control Branch, Mumbai, has decided to observe 'No Honking Day on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, to curb the trend of honking among motorists."


The Mumbai Traffic Police further said, "We urge the motorists to positively respond to 'No Honking Day' by not using the horns of their vehicles. Motorists are advised to ensure that the horns of their vehicles are as per the guidelines laid down in Rule No. 119 of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules of 1989."
