Punjab CM To Sit On Fast On Sunday Against Kejriwal's Arrest
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann along with AAP MLAs and other volunteers is slated to sit on a fast on Sunday to protest against the arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, as confirmed by the party leader. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had previously announced a nationwide collective fast on April 7 in protest of Kejriwal's arrest.
During a conference, AAP MLA Dinesh Chadha announced that the Punjab chief minister and lawmakers from the ruling party would stage the fast at Khatkar Kalan in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district on April 7 as part of their endeavor to defend democracy. Chadha also encouraged the residents of Punjab to join in the fast, PTI reported.
Accusing the BJP-led government at the Centre of orchestrating the arrest of Kejriwal, the legislator from Rupnagar asserted that the BJP views the AAP and its national leader as its "biggest threat." " Kejriwal has been put behind bars without the probe agency recovering a single penny, he also said.
PM Modi To Hold Roadshow In Jabalpur On April 7
PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to conduct a roadshow in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh on April 7 (Sunday), a senior BJP official stated on Friday. This visit marks PM Modi's inaugural trip to Madhya Pradesh after the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct on March 16th.
Madhya Pradesh BJP president V.D. Sharma confirmed on Friday that PM Modi is to lead a roadshow and also address a poll rally in Jabalpur. Additionally, he will address a public gathering in Balaghat on April 9th.
"Jabalpur is getting ready to welcome PM Modi. The roadshow that PM Modi will lead in Jabalpur on April 7 will be historic. The BJP will create a history by winning all 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh," Sharma added, PTI reported.
