In his weekly column 'Rokhthok' published in the party mouthpiece 'Saamana', Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut termed the 1975 Emergency an outdated issue, which needs to be permanently "buried".
"People of India punished Indira Gandhi for her decision to impose Emergency. They taught her a lesson, but later forgave her by bringing her back to power. Emergency is an outdated issue. Why rake it up again and again?...The issued should be permanently buried," he said.
Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait on Sunday said he would hold a meeting with farmers on March 13 in Kolkata.
"We are going to Kolkata on March 13. We will speak with farmers there about their concerns and ask if their produce are being bought at MSP or not," Tikait said interacting with reporters while visiting Bala Sahib Dialysis Hospital in Delhi.

She also brought up the matter of privatisation by terming it as "selling" BSNL, Red Fort and more. She is conducting a roadshow in Siliguri against Fuel price hike.

Bringing up the incident of CM Mamata almost falling over from her scooter during her protest against fuel price hike, PM Modi quipped that fortunately she did not fall down or else she would have blamed other states for this incident. "If the scooter was made in the South, you would have blamed the south.. If it was made in North, you would have attacked the North," he said.
"People chose you as their didi (sister), why did you choose to just be the aunt to your nephew, why did you prioritise his gains over working for the people," he said alleging that she has followed the nepotistic tendencies of the Congress.
Bringing up the slogan of 'Aar Noy Anyaay', Prime Minister Modi said the people are saying the same about the TMC government's rule in West Bengal. He asked the gathering to repeat 'Aar Noy' to corruption, syndicate, and more.
"You know it very well how the democratic system has been destroyed here. BJP will strengthen this system. We will bring the change to re-establish public belief in government systems, in the police, and the administration,": PM Modi in Kolkata.

CM Mamata Banerjee has begun her roadshow in Siliguri against Fuel price hike. She is a foot march accompanied by a lot of women supporters.
"Didi jaa rahi hai BJP aa rahi hai (Mamata is going to leave and BJP is going to come in)": Kailash Vijayvargiya said about the massive crowd gathered as he requested people to maintain a distance from the stage.

CM Mamta will begin her march from the Darjeeling turn of Siliguri and end at Safdarashmi Chowk.
Amit Shah will visit Tamil Nadu and Kerala
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will go on a day-long tour of Tamil Nadu and Kerala today to initiate BJP's door-to-door campaign. The party has issued a statement saying that Amit Shah will also address the closing ceremony of the BJP's 'Kerala Vijay Yatra' in Thiruvananthapuram. The Union Home Minister will visit Sri Ramakrishna Math at Trivandrapuram in Kerala at 4:30 pm today. After this, he will join 'Kerala Vijay Yatra' at 6 pm where will also address a huge rally.
