Merchant Ships Attack: The Indian Navy has increased deployment of warships, long-range maritime aircraft, helicopters, drones, and other surveillance assets as the number of attacks taking place near the Indian Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) has increased closer to the Indian Economic Zone (EEZ). So far, there have been two major incidents of attacks on merchant vessels that happened off the Indian EEZ. MV Ruen was attacked by pirates around 700 nautical miles from the Indian coast and recently
