Can Schools Charge Extra Fees For ACs? What Delhi HC Said
A parent of a Class IX student had moved the Delhi High Court against the additional fee of Rs 2,000/- per month by school for providing air conditioning facility.
A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed seeking a direction to the Directorate of Education (‘DoE’) of the Delhi government to ensure that Maharaja Agarsain Public School does not charge Rs 2,000/- per month in lieu of providing the services of air conditioning to the students in the classrooms.
A parent of a Class IX student in the school had moved the Delhi High Court against the additional fee of Rs 2,000/- per month towards the air conditioning facility.
