Here's Our Second Half Review Of The Film

Besides Salman’s cameo, the second half of Pathaan is more engaging. The action sequences get gruesome, the story better, actors well equipped to play their parts. Special mention to Deepika Padukone who aces action sequences even better than John Abraham and SRK in some parts. The genre suits her really well.

Though War had more style and swagger, Shah Rukh’s charisma saves this poorly written, bad dialogue predictable entertainer.

Yet, Pathaan is a great way to begin 2023 and will surely say great numbers at the box office.

Take A Look At ABP's First Half Review Of The Film

Pathaan opens in the most typical action films of this genre; in Pakistan, as it preps to bring ‘ India to its knees’. SRK is formidable as an action hero, complimented by an equally bold adversary Deepika Padukone. John Abraham plays an ex-RAW agent who has gone rogue because he loses his wife after India refuses to pay ransom for him and his wife who are captured by a terrorist group.

The action is great, background score compliments the genre but the story lacks gravitas. The screenplay gets better when the film gets slightly grounded and it takes some to find momentum.

SRK’s entry is sure to get whistles as audiences love the megastar’s return to screens after 4 years.

What doesn’t seem to work is the dialogue, the predictable plot and the confused pace of the film.

Salman Khan's Cameo In The SRK Starrer Thrills The Audience

Audiences were thrilled as Salman Khan made a 'Dhamakedaar' entry with his cameo in the film. Fans went crazy seeing two of the biggest superstars share screen space together after a long time.

Background

New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Pathaan' hit theatres on January 25. The high octane action thriller is one of the most anticipated releases of the year that marks SRK's return to the silver screen after a hiatus of four years.

Makers of the film already had the audience on the edge of their seats by releasing the power-packed trailer of the action thriller.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who plays a spy in 'Pathaan', may have been idolised as the king of romance by his countless fans across the globe, but the actor personally loves the action genre and always wanted to be an action hero.

The 'King', as he is known, is returning to the silver screen after a wait of four long years, and his fans have certainly been waiting with bated breath to watch him in action on screen.

Talking about his character in 'Pathaan', the superstar shared: "Pathaan is an easy guy, doing a lot of tough things and I think he's naughty, he's tough but doesn't wear it on his sleeve. He's trusting. He's honest and I think he very single-mindedly thinks of India as his mother."

Four years of anticipation will finally be over next week. ‘Pathaan’ will open in theatres on January 25, 2023, and Shah Rukh Khan fans are losing their minds over it. In the film directed by Siddharth Anand, Deepika Padukone portrays the female protagonist, while John Abraham plays the primary antagonist.

‘Pathaan’ was filmed on location in a wide variety of international locations, including India, Afghanistan, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Russia, Italy, and France.

Meanwhile, the first song of the film, ‘Besharam Rang’ drew a lot of controversy because of the saffron colour bikini sported by Deepika in the song. The Hindutva activists across the country have raised objections to the dance sequence where Shah Rukh Khan is wearing a green colour shirt and Deepika is flaunting a saffron outfit.

Directed by Sidharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj films, it will release in three different languages: Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
