Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan got married in brahma muhurtam starting 1:36 minutes before sunrise on Thursday. The guests also started to arrive at the venue for attending wedding reception from 8 Am.

The wedding menu of the actor-director combo has started doing the rounds on social media. The menu included paruppu curry, aviyal, mor kuzhambu, Chettinadu curry, urulai kara masala, vazhakkai varuval, chena kezhangu varuval, kalan milagu varuval, carrot beans poriyal, kai porichathu, kathal biryani, sadham sadham, poondu rasam, badam halwa, Elaneer payasam among others.

As a part of their new beginning, the couple has made arrangements to provide lunch for 18,000 kids living in orphanages across Tamil Nadu on Thursday.
Prominent personalities including Producer Boney Kapoor, actors Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi, Sarathkumar and actress Radhika, Divyadarshini have arrived at the resort to attend the wedding ceremony.
The guests were provided with themed water bottles consisting of Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan's image with the title 'Love story' under the banner name 'Rowdy Pictures', the production company jointly owned by the couple.
The private resort was brought under tight security with the help of hundreds of bouncers. The guests started arriving at the venue at 8 Am on Thursday. The guests were permitted to enter the resort only after they revealed the security code. However, the guests were still requested not to take mobile phones.
Hours before the wedding, groom-to-be Vignesh Shivan in a post on Instagram said, "Today is June 9th ❤️☺️😍😇 and it’s Nayan’s 💝😇"

The guests have also started to arrive at the venue for attending the wedding reception from 8 Am. The wedding was followed by star-studded reception with celebrities including producer Boney Kapoor, actors Shah Rukh Khan, Rajinikanth, Suriya, Jyothika, Karthi, Sarath Kumar, Radhika and Dhivyadharshini. The wedding was also attended by Directors KS Ravikumar, Atlee, Siruthai Siva and music directors AR Rahman and Anirudh.

In the first image released by the director, the couple was seen in attires of red, emerald and gold. Nayanthara looked stunning in a red saree with a red veil and emerald jewelry. Nayanthara also wore a hair bun with gajras. The groom Vignesh Shivan was seen all-bright in a gold veshti and shirt. The couple had also chose a venue decorated with glass.

The couple who first officially collaborated for the project 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' soon fell in love and had been in a relationship for seven years. The couple initially hinted about their relationship during an award ceremony in Singapore. However, the couple first officially made news after Nayanthara revealed about her engagement ring during the promotions of her movie 'Netrikann'.
