Bigg Boss 17, the latest season of the celebrated Salman Khan hosted celebrity reality show premiered on October 15, 2023.
In a turn of events, Ankita Lokhande chose not to go with the crowd and nominated popular television actor Neil Bhatt despite being on good terms with him. Most of the housemates nominated Mannara Chopra, wo called out Ankita's husband Vicky Jain for his double standards.

Amidst the first nomination drill, a massive fight broke out between contestants Arun Srikanth and Abhishek Pandey.
It all started with Abhishek blabbering the details of a private conversation between Arun and Sunny Arya, who are now pally with each other. An embarrassed Arun affirms that Abhishek should not have divulged the details of his ‘guy talk’ with Sunny, leading to a verbal spat.
The new promo, which was shared on X, shows tension among the candidates as the first round of nominations will begin to be picked. In the new promo, it was announced: "Ap mujhe us sadasya ka naam batayenge jo meri casting list mein hein (You will tell me the name of that contestant who will be in my casting list)."
The next teaser clip had Mannara weeping and voicing her anger at Vicky taking her name. "Itne double standards?" she said.
Jigna Vora, a contestant on the reality series 'Bigg Boss 17', was seen detailing the issues she faced with housemates Rinku Dhawan, Munawar Faruqui, and Neil Bhatt. “My career started as a crime reporter in 2004. Everything was working from trainee reporter to the graph went up… by 2011 I became the deputy bureau chief but one day fellow journalist got murdered,” Jigna said.
“And after 7-8 months I was arrested for passing some tipoff about that person to one of the underworld gangsters... I had interviewed him (the gangster) a week before the murder,” she added.
Jigna recounted her time in prison and said that it was there that she began her fight to prove that she was innocent.
“I got jailed for 9 months then I got bail after 9 months. The struggle and the trial began. In 2018 I was acquitted. No charges. This had to happen. I take it positively. In these 7 years my family members died but it's just me and my son. Main gunde mawali ke language samaj paati thi and bhagwaan ne mujhe wohi language main sikha diya.”
Isha Malviya and Abhishek Kumar are rumoured to be the ex-couple that unexpectedly crossed paths in the Bigg Boss house. The Bigg Boss 16 contestant Archana Gautam, however, posted a video of Abhishek "lying" about Isha, saying that he was unaware of her being there.
“Bhut jhuta hai bhai yeh Abhishek toh ab dekho duniya ko kya dikha raha hai ki esse sharif koi nahi. Janta pagal nahi sab dikhta hai planning ka game (Abhishek is a big liar, see what he is showing to the world. The public is not a fool, they can see the planning game),” she captioned the post.
